ABRAHAM'S LAST WORDS

(GEN.25) ... Abraham took another wife, Keturah, had sons and also sons from concubines too. And even though Isaac preferred Esau, Abraham loved Jacob and favoured him, knowing that he would be the son who his descendants would be named after, and he called Rebekah (knowing she felt the same) saying to her, “I don’t have much time left my daughter, so please watch over Jacob for me, for through him a mighty chosen people will arise in the midst of the nations, a treasured possession of Yahuah and a fulfillment of promises made way back since Shem. I know that my son Isaac prefers Esau but your eyes are upon Jacob, so treat him well, love him and rejoice in the promises regarding him, for trust me, the whole earth will be blessed through him and his descendants will be as many as the sand on the seashore”.

And calling Jacob to his mother’s side, Abraham kissed him and said, “Jacob my darling boy who I love, may Yahuah bless you from above and favour you as He did Adam, Enoch, Noah and Shem, and may all the amazing things He promised me pass onto you my son. Don’t let the spirits of the wicked one rule over your family incase they steal you from this land and destroy you. My son, separate yourself from the nations, don’t eat with them and definately don’t behave like them or even hang around them for they are unclean and all their ways are a pollution and an abomination. They sacrifice their own children to the dead, they worship evil spirits, they eat over the graves, and all their works are vanity and nothingness. They have no heart to understand and their eyes do not see what their behaviour really looks like to Yahuah.”

And Abraham called Ishmael and his twelve sons, plus Isaac and his two sons, and the six sons of Keturah, and their sons and he commanded them that they should observe the way of YAHUAH, staying on His path of obedient behaviour and to love each other, making sure to circumcise their sons according to the Blood-Covenant which He had made with them, and not to stray to the right or to the left from the paths which YAHUAH had instructed them. He told them to stay away from all fornication and uncleanness, and if any woman or maid committed fornication to burn her with fire, and not to take any wives from the daughters of Canaan, for the seed of Canaan would be rooted out of the land. And he reminded them of the judgment of the giants, and the judgment of Sodom and Gomorrah, how they had been wiped out because of their wickedness.

“I beg you my sons, love Yahuah and guard His Instructions tightly in your heart. Do not stray after the false idols of the nations, and after their uncleanliess, for they’re all fake, there’s no power or spirit in them, just stuck-up vanity, the work of men’s hands and everyone who trusts in them actually trusts nothing. But serve and follow Yahuah so that He may find pleasure in your behaviour and give you favor and send the rain upon you morning and evening and bless all the work of your hands, giving you bread and water and the fruit of the womb and cattle and flocks so that you be the envy of all the nations and you shall all be blessed in His mighty Name as I have been”.

And he gave gifts to Ishmael and to his sons, and to the sons of Keturah and he kissed them and sent them away, and to Isaac he said “My son I am old, and don’t know when I’ll die, I’m 175 years old, and throughout my life I’ve remembered Yahuah, and sought to please Him with all my heart and to walk uprightly on His path. I have absolutely hated idols, and also the behaviour of those who served them, and I have given my whole being over to the will of Him who created me. For He is the living Alahim Yahuah, and He is set-apart and trustworthy, to judge all those who are disobedient to His Instructions and despise His Blood-Covenant and all the words written in the books of my forefathers, and in the words of Enoch, and the words of Noah. I can see my son that all the works of the children of men are perverse and wickedness and all their deeds are unclean and an abomination and a pollution and there is no righteousness with them. So beware, incase you start behaving as they do, treading on their paths instead of Yahuah’s and He should hide His face from you and boot you out of this promised land and wipe out your name and our descendants. Stay upright my son to do His will and be upright in all things and He will bless you in all your ways and will raise up from you a mighty plant throughout all generations of the earth, and my name and your name will never be forgotten. Now go in peace my son, and may Yahuah Al Shaddai, my Alahim and your Alahim, strengthen you in all things to stay on His path, and may He bless all your children and remain in favor with all the generations of our family forever, so that we are a blessing across all the earth”.

And before he died at the good old age of 175 Abraham gave everything he owned to his son Isaac. And having known YAHUAH, Abraham breathed his last breath and was buried by his sons Isaac and Ishmael in the cave near Mamre next to his darling wife Sarah on the promised land which he had purchased himself from the elders of Kath.

And despite being born into a Pagan Kaldean Culture, Abraham found favor in his life, because of his strong belief in YAHUAH’S promises and his obedient behaviour allowed him to `pass-through’ (Hebrew) into a Blood-Covenant of Deliverance with YAHUAH. Yes, this first-recorded HEBREW, (a man who spent 100 years of his life with no children), became the father of many nations.

ESAU & JACOB

Now Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah as his wife and for twenty years she was barren (unable to have children). And Isaac pleaded his desire to have children with YAHUAH and He finally answered his request, allowing Rebekah to fall pregnant. But after some time she felt dreadful kicking and struggling in her stomach, causing her to worry.

So Rebekah spoke to YAHUAH, “Why do I feel like this? What’s wrong with me?”

And YAHUAH comforted her, saying . . . “The reason there is so much pain and struggle in your body My daughter is because you are carrying two babies and these two boys will become two mighty nations on the earth. One will be more powerful than the other and the older will serve the younger, so don’t be afraid”.

NO DOUBT REBEKAH WOULD HAVE TOLD ISAAC ABOUT THIS, SO THEY BOTH WOULD HAVE KNOWN ABOUT YAHUAH’S PLAN REGARDING THE FIRSTBORN SON - AND SO WOULD THE BOYS TOO !

And after nine months Rebekah gave birth to twin boys as YAHUAH said she would. The first boy came out bright red and covered with thick hair like a carpet so Isaac and Rebekah called him Esau (meaning ‘hairy’ and ‘red like a lentil bean’). Then (holding onto his brother’s heal the whole time while he was born), came baby Jacob (meaning ‘grabbing the heel’ and ‘to deceive’).

And as the boys grew up, Esau became a cold, ruthless hunter and loved going out wild in the fields, killing anything just for the pleasure of it. But his younger brother Jacob had a much quieter, peaceful personality and enjoyed staying inside the tents studying and writing.

Isaac loved his first-born son Esau more because he was a ‘rough and tumble’ (lumberjack beast of a man) and Isaac looked forward to the nosh-ups (meals) from the wild game he brought home every day. Rebekah however loved her younger son Jacob more and much preferred spending time with him.

WE’VE BEEN SHOWN A HUGE CONTRAST BETWEEN THE BEHAVIOURS AND PERSONALITIES OF ESAU AND JACOB - ONE LOVES KILLING WHILE ONE LOVES LIFE. ONE WANDERS AIMLESSLY WHILE ONE STAYS NEAR. ONE SLAUGHTERS THE FLOCK WHILE ONE SHEPHERDS THE FLOCK.

ESAU SELLS HIS BIRTHRIGHT

Now while Isaac and Rebekah were still mourning the death of their father Abraham, it was customary for none of the immediate family to cook or do any domestic duties. So Jacob (the grandson) began cooking a comforting stew for his parents (even though the men didn’t usually cook), but Esau couldn’t care less about spending time with his family and, thinking only of himself, went out to hunt.

IT HAS BEEN RECORDED THAT THIS WAS THE DAY THAT ESAU AMBUSHED NIMROD WHILE HE WAS HUNTING WITH HIS MEN AND HE CUT OFF HIS HEAD DURING THE BATTLE. SO ESAU ACTUALLY RETURNED HOME NOT JUST TIRED, BUT COMPLETELY WARTORN AND BRUISED FROM COMBAT.

And later that day Esau came home completely exhausted and caught the wafting smell of the delicious lentil stew that Jacob was making, and his stomach grumbled within him. “Give me some of your red stew? I’m completely knackered and starving, and can’t be bothered making my own,“ he asked Jacob, who snapped back wittingly.... “Starving enough to trade me your birthright brother?”

“What?” Esau said. And Jacob thought it would be a good time to manipulate what YAHUAH had told his mother years before... “Your birthright and all it’s promises - give it to me, come on, you know it’s gunna be mine anyway!” Jacob replied.

And Esau saw red, “I’m absolutely dying of hunger here and you wanna talk about my stupid birthright? I won’t need a damn birthright if I’m dead will I?”

And Jacob said, “Promise me right now and I’ll give you some of my stew”.

ESAU ALSO KNEW WHAT YAHUAH HAD PROMISED HIS MOTHER ABOUT THE BIRTHRIGHT - HE JUST DIDN’T CARE - HE WAS HUNGRY!

And Esau gave Jacob his promise and ‘sold-over’ all his rights of authority to rule his father’s clans. (SOMETHING ONLY THE FIRSTBORN SON COULD INHERIT AFTER HIS FATHER’S DEATH). Then Jacob fed him bread and red lentil stew and Esau ate and drank, and was completely satisfied. Then he stood up and left, thinking nothing of it, for the future promises of the birthright (AND IN THIS CASE THE ETERNAL-BLOOD-COVENANT TOO) passing down from Abraham to Isaac and now to him, meant absolutely nothing to him (he actually had contempt and hatred for it because he lived only for the moment).

AND ESAU WAS ACTUALLY CALLED `EDOM’ (RED) AFTER THIS STEW INCIDENT - ANCESTOR TO THE FUTURE `EDOMITES’
