KING BALAK & BALAAM (NUM.22)

The people of Yisharal traveled to the plains of Moab and camped east of the Jordan River, across from Jericho. Balak (son of Zippor) the Moabite king, had seen everything the Yisharalites did to the Amorites and when the people of Moab saw how many Yisharalites there were, they were absolutely terrified. So King Balak said to the elders of Midian, “This mob will devour everything in sight, like an ox devours all the grass in the field!”

BALAK WAS THE KING OF MOAB, A NATION UNDER THE REIGN AND PROTECTION OF THE AMORITES (WHO YISHARAL HAD JUST CONQUERED). NOTICE WE’RE TOLD THAT HE WAS THE SON OF A MAN NAME ZIPPOR (SAME NAME AS MOSES` WIFE), WHICH IS A MIDIANITE NAME AND A PRETTY TYPICAL NAME AMONG THE BEDOUINS AT THE TIME. HOWEVER, THE PROBLEM WE FACE IS THAT BALAK IS A MOABITE. SO HOW DID HE END UP WITH A MIDIANITE NAME?! THAT WOULD BE THE EQUIVALENT OF A JAPANESE PERSON WITH THE LAST NAME “SMITH“. MOAB HAD FORMED AN ALLIANCE WITH MIDIAN TO DEAL WITH THE HEBREW PROBLEM FAST APPROACHING THEIR BORDERS AND BALAK’S FATHER HAD TAKEN ON A MIDIANITE NAME AS A GESTURE OF LOYALTY TO HIS ALLY (KIND OF SIMILAR TO A WIFE ADOPTING HER HUSBAND’S LAST NAME).

So Balak, king of Moab sent messengers to call Balaam son of Beor, who was living in his native land of Pethor near the Euphrates River. His message said, “Look, a vast horde of people has arrived from Egypt. They cover the face of the earth and are threatening me. Please come and curse these people for me because they are too powerful for me. Then perhaps I will be able to conquer them and drive them from the land. I know that blessings fall on any people you bless, and curses fall on people you curse.”

THE PEOPLE OF MOAB ARE LITERALLY QUAKING IN THEIR BOOTS BECAUSE OF WHAT YISHARAL HAD DONE TO THE AMORITES. IT WAS PRETTY EVIDENT THERE WAS NO WAY THEY WERE GOING TO BE ABLE TO STOP YISHARAL IN A DIRECT MILITARY CONFLICT, SO IF IT WASN’T POSSIBLE TO STOP YISHARAL VIA EARTHLY OR NATURAL MEANS, THEY HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO STOP THEM VIA SUPERNATURAL MEANS. THUS, THEY HAD TO FIND A WAY TO CALL ON THE DEITIES/GODS TO TURN THE ODDS IN THEIR FAVOR.

King Balak’s messengers, who were elders of Moab and Midian, set out with money to pay Balaam to place a curse upon Yisharal. They went to Balaam and delivered Balak’s message to him. “Stay here overnight,” Balaam said, “And in the morning I‘ll tell you whatever Yahuah gives me to say.” So the officials from Moab stayed there with Balaam.

BALAAM WAS A WELL KNOWN AND HIGHLY REGARDED MAGICIAN. HE WAS A GENTILE AND HIS OCCUPATION WAS THAT OF A SEER, DIVINER AND/OR SORCERER, AND (JUST LIKE ABRAHAM), HE HAILED FROM MESOPOTAMIA AND LIVED IN AN AREA KNOWN AS ARAM, NEAR THE EUPHRATES RIVER (A LAND WITH A FULLY DEVELOPED MYSTERY RELIGION SYSTEM POSSESSING A PANTHEON OF PAGAN DEITIES/GODS). HOWEVER EVEN THOUGH BALAAM WAS LIVING IN A LAND TEEMING WITH PAGAN DEITIES, FOR WHATEVER REASON BALAAM KNEW THE ALAHIM OF YISHARAL. SO HERE WE HAVE A MAN WHO WAS KNOWN AS A DIVINER AND APPARENTLY HIS SKILLS AS A SORCERER WERE SO RENOWN THAT KING BALAK HAD DECIDED TO HIRE HIM TO TAKE CARE OF THE “YISHARAL PROBLEM” ON HIS BORDERS. THE IDEA IS ALSO EXPRESSED THAT HAD YAHUSHA NOT STOPPED HIM, BALAAM HAD EVERY INTENTION OF CURSING YISHARAL BECAUSE HE COULDN’T HAVE CARED LESS ABOUT YISHARAL AND HE ONLY ENDED UP BLESSING THEM BECAUSE HE FEARED FOR HIS LIFE IF HE WENT AGAINST THIS POWERFUL ALAHIM OF THE HEBREWS. BALAAM WAS JUST A PROFIT SEEKER, A HIRED GUN ONLY INTERESTED IN LOOKING OUT FOR HIMSELF.

That night YAHUSHA came to Balaam and asked him, “Who are these men visiting you?”

And Balaam replied “Balak, son of Zippor, King of Moab, has sent me this message,  ‘Look, a vast horde of people have arrived from Egypt, and they cover the face of the earth. Come and curse these people for me, so I can stand up to them and drive them out of the land.’”

But YAHUSHA told Balaam, “Don’t go with them. You are not to curse these people, for they have been blessed by Me!”

NOW WHAT EXACTLY DOES YAHUSHA MEAN WHEN HE SAYS YISHARAL CAN’T BE CURSED BECAUSE THEY’RE BLESSED? HE’S REFERRING BACK TO THE ETERNAL BLOOD-COVENANT OF DELIVERANCE HE FIRST MADE WITH ABRAHAM THAT WAS PASSED DOWN TO ISAAC AND THEN FINALLY ON TO JACOB. REMEMBER, IN SCRIPTURE, THE BLOOD-COVENANT IS ALWAYS REFERRED TO AS “A BLESSING“. SO IN SAYING TO BALAAM “YOU CANNOT CURSE YISHARAL“, HE’S INFORMING BALAAM THAT IT’S IMPOSSIBLE TO CURSE WHAT HE HAS BLESSED AND THE CONSEQUENCES FOR ATTEMPTING TO DO SO CAN BE FATAL TO THE PERSON WHO TRIES IT. THERE WILL BE DIVINE RETRIBUTION UPON THE ONE WHO ATTEMPTS TO HARM YAHUSHA’S CHOSEN PEOPLE.

The next morning Balaam got up and told King Balak’s officials, “Go on home! Yahuah won’t let me go with you.”

So the Moabite officials returned to King Balak and reported, “Balaam refused to come with us.”

So Balak tried again, this time sending a larger number of even more distinguished officials than those he had sent the first time. And they went to Balaam and delivered this message to him: “This is what King Balak son of Zippor says: Please don’t let anything stop you from coming to help me. I‘ll pay you handsomely and do whatever you tell me to do. Just come and curse these people for me!”

But Balaam responded to King Balak’s messengers, “Even if King Balak were to give me his palace filled with silver and gold, I would be powerless to do anything against the will of Yahuah my Alahim. But stay here one more night, and I will see if Yahuah has anything else to say to me.”

And that night YAHUSHA came to Balaam and told him, “Since these men have come for you, get up and go with them. But do only what I tell you to do.”

BALAAM & HIS DONKEY (NUM.22)

So the next morning Balaam got up, saddled his donkey, and set off with the Moabite officials. But YAHUSHA was angry that Balaam was going, so he sent a messenger (angel) to stand on the road to block his way.

WHY IS YAHUSHA GIVING PERMISSION FOR BALAAM TO GO, YET ANGRY AT HIM FOR GOING? THIS IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF YAHUSHA WORKING WITHIN THE FREE WILL HE HAS GIVEN TO ALL MEN. LET’S GET SOMETHING STRAIGHT. EVEN THOUGH BALAAM TOLD KING BALAK’S MEN THAT HE COULDN’T ACT AGAINST THE INSTRUCTION OF YAHUSHA, BALAAM HAD ALREADY PURPOSED IN HIS HEART TO GO AND CURSE YISHARAL FOR ALL THE BUCKETS OF CASH HE COULD GET. HE WAS A SORCERER AND IT WAS A SORCERER’S JOB TO PERSISTENTLY BARGAIN AND NEGOTIATE WITH WHATEVER DEITY HE WAS DEALING WITH AT THE TIME UNTIL HE GOT WHAT HE WANTED. DO YOU REALLY THINK BALAAM WAS GOING TO TRAVEL ALL THE WAY TO MOAB ON HIS DONKEY JUST TO TELL KING BALAK HE WOULDN’T BE ALLOWED TO CURSE YISHARAL AFTER ALL, AND THEN JUST GO HOME COMPLETELY EMPTY-HANDED? NO WAY! IN BALAAM’S MIND, HE WAS JUST TAKING THINGS STEP BY STEP. FIRST, HE WOULD GET THIS ALAHIM OF YISHARAL’S PERMISSION TO GO (WHICH HE JUST DID) AND THEN IN SOME WAY HE WAS GOING TO NEGOTIATE WITH HIM TO GIVE HIM SOME ROPE SO THAT HE COULD CURSE YISHARAL.

As Balaam and the two servants were riding along, Balaam’s donkey saw the messenger of YAHUSHA standing in the road with a drawn sword in his hand and the donkey bolted off the road into a field. But Balaam beat the donkey and turned it back onto the road. Then the Messenger of YAHUSHA stood at a place where the road narrowed between two vineyard walls. And when the donkey saw the messenger, it tried to squeeze by and ended up crushing Balaam’s foot against the wall.

So Balaam beat the donkey again. Then the messenger of YAHUSHA moved farther down the road and stood in a place too narrow for the donkey to get by at all. And this time when the donkey saw the messenger, it lay flat down on the ground underneath Balaam. So in a fit of rage Balaam beat the hell outta the animal again with his staff.

Then YAHUSHA gave the donkey the ability to speak. “HEY RETARD!!! WHAT THE HELL HAVE I DONE TO DESERVE YOU BEATING ME THREE TIMES? CAN’T YOU SEE THERE’S A FREAK’IN ANGEL STOPPING US?”

“You’ve made me look like a fool!” Balaam shouted. “If I had a sword with me, I would kill you!”

“But I’m your donkey and you’ve ridden me all your life . . . have I ever done anything like this before?”

“No,” Balaam admitted.

Then YAHUSHA opened Balaam’s eyes, and he saw the Messenger of YAHUSHA standing in the roadway with a drawn sword in his hand. And Balaam bowed his head and fell face down on the ground before him. “Why did you beat your donkey those three times?” YAHUSHA’S Messenger demanded. “Look, I’ve come to block your way because you are stubbornly resisting me. Three times the donkey saw me and freaked out. Would you prefer I kill you and spared the donkey? How thick-headed are you?”

Then Balaam confessed to the messenger of YAHUSHA, “Yes I’ve stubbornly disobeyed you. I didn’t realise you were standing in the road to block my way. I’ll return home if you’re against me going.” SO YAHUSHA SUDDENLY BECOMES VISIBLE TO BALAAM. SOMETIMES DURING OUR ATTEMPTS TO CARRY OUT OUR PLAN, THE PROBLEMS WE EXPERIENCE IS SO UNUSUAL AND FREQUENT, WE BEGIN TO WONDER IF IT MIGHT NOT BE OF YAHUSHA!

But the Messenger told Balaam, “Go with these men, but say only what I tell you to say.”

So Balaam traveled on with King Balak’s officials and when King Balak heard that Balaam was on the way, he went out to meet him at a Moabite town on the Arnon River at the farthest border of his land. “WHAT’S TAKEN YOU SO LONG? THE INVITATION WAS URGENT! Why didn’t you come right away? Didn’t you believe me when I said I would reward you richly?”

Balak was peeved but Balaam replied, “Look, I’m here now, but I haven’t got the power to say whatever I want. I’ll speak only the message that Yahuah puts in my mouth.”

Then Balaam accompanied King Balak to Kirath-Husoth, where the King sacrificed cattle and sheep. Then he sent portions of the meat to Balaam and the officials who were with him. And the next morning King Balak took Balaam up to the high places of Bel and from there he could see the people of Yisharal spread out below him.

BALAAM BLESSES YISHARAL (NUM.23)

Then Balaam said to King Balak, “Build me seven altars here, and prepare seven young bulls and seven rams for me to sacrifice.”

So King Balak followed his instructions, and the two of them sacrificed a young bull and a ram on each altar. THE NUMBER ( 7 ) WAS RECOGNISED AS A DIVINE NUMBER AND WAS USED IN RITUALS THROUGHOUT THE KNOWN ANCIENT WORLD. IT WAS NOT JUST A HEBREW INVENTION NOR SOMETHING THAT BELONGED TO YISHARAL ALONE.

Then Balaam said to King Balak, “Stand here by your offerings, and I will go to see if Yahuah will respond to me. Then I’ll tell you whatever He reveals to me.”

So Balaam went alone to the top of a bare hill, and YAHUSHA met him there. And Balaam said, “I have prepared seven altars and have sacrificed a young bull and a ram on each altar.”

So YAHUSHA gave Balaam a message for King Balak, saying “Go back to Balak and give him My message.”

So Balaam returned and found the King standing beside his `burnt’ offerings with all the officials of Moab and this was the message Balaam delivered: “King Balak summoned me to come from Aram, yes the king of Moab brought me from the eastern hills, saying `Come and curse Jacob for me! Come and declare Yisharal’s doom.’ But how can I possibly curse those who Yahuah hasn’t cursed? How can I condemn those who Yahuah hasn’t condemned? I see them from the cliff tops, I watch them from the hills. I see a people who live by themselves, set apart from other nations.

UP UNTIL NOW, THE HEBREW WORD `GOYIM’ HAS JUST MEANT “NATIONS” IN THE GENERAL SENSE AND COULD HAVE INCLUDED YISHARAL TOO. HOWEVER, FROM NOW ON, THE WORD `GOYIM’ WILL BE A TERM THAT WILL ONLY REFER TO THE NON-HEBREW NATIONS. FROM THIS POINT ON AND FOR ALL ETERNITY, THE WORD GOYIM CAN NEVER BE APPLIED TO YISHARAL!

Who can count Jacob’s descendants, as numerous as dust? Who can count even a fourth of Yisharal’s people? Let me die like the upright and clean, yes let my life end like theirs.”

THIS IS BASICALLY A REITERATION OF YAHUSHA’S FIRST PROMISE TO ABRAHAM (THAT HIS DESCENDANTS WOULD MULTIPLY AS THE SANDS OF THE SEA). HERE BALAAM IS EXPRESSING HIS DESIRE TO (IN SOME WAY) BE ATTACHED TO YISHARAL AND AS A RESULT ALSO PARTAKE OF THE BLESSINGS THEY RECEIVE FROM THEIR ALAHIM. YES, EVEN THIS PAGAN SORCERER FROM THE NATIONS SENSES THAT YISHARAL HAS BEEN BLESSED AND GIVEN PRIVILEGES UNLIKE ANY OTHER NATION ON THE PLANET AND OF COURSE BEING HUMAN, BALAAM NATURALLY WANTS SOME OF THOSE BLESSINGS TO RUB OFF ON HIM.

Then King Balak demanded of Balaam, “WHAT HAVE YOU DONE? WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO PULL HERE MAN? I BROUGHT YOU HERE TO CURSE MY ENEMIES. INSTEAD, YOU’VE GONE AND BLESSED THEM!”

But Balaam replied, “I told you I can only speak the message that Yahuah puts in my mouth.”

In Scripture, we are going to encounter several fascinating glimpses of the outside nation’s fascination with Yisharal and a burning desire to want to become part of Yahusha’s Chosen People. The whole mixed multitude joining Yisharal when they left Egypt is a perfect example of this. The meeting between the Queen of Sheba and King Solomon is another good example. The Queen travelled all the way to Yerushalim to meet King Solomon because she wanted to know the source of his renowned wisdom. And perhaps the most famous example is Ruth the Moabite, who was another woman from the outside nations who expressed her desire to become a part of Yisharal’s Blood-Covenant by proclaiming… “Your people will be my people and your Alahim will be my Alahim.” (Ruth 1) . . . And let’s not overlook the other mind-blowing coincidence between King Balak and Ruth. They are both Moabites, however (in terms of their attitude towards Yisharal) they were polar opposites. King Balak, the King of Moab wanted to curse Yisharal while Ruth the Moabite wanted to become one with them and receive the blessings of Yahusha’s People.

BALAAM'S SECOND MESSAGE (NUM.23)

Then King Balak told Balaam, “Come with me to another place so you can see another part of Yisharal, it’s not all of them, but COME ON, you can at least curse some of them?”

So Balak took Balaam to the plateau of Tsophim on Pisgah Peak, building seven altars there and offering a young bull and a ram on each altar. Then Balaam said to the king, “Stand here by your `burnt’ offerings while I go over there to meet Yahuah.”

IT WAS ONLY YAHUSHA’S WORDS OF TRUTH THROUGH PERSONAL DIVINE REVELATION TO YISHARAL THAT SET THEM APART FROM ALL OTHER NATIONS, FOR NO ONE ELSE KNEW HIM. UNLIKE THE OUTSIDE NATIONS, YISHARAL NO LONGER HAD TO WONDER HOW THE WORLD BEGAN, WHERE MANKIND CAME FROM OR THE MEANING OF HUMAN HISTORY BECAUSE YAHUSHA HAD DIRECTLY GIVEN THEM THAT INFORMATION IN HIS WORD. THE REST OF THE WORLD (BECAUSE THEY REJECTED THE CREATOR IN THE BEGINNING) NOW LIVE IN PERPETUAL DARKNESS AND ARE IN ESSENCE WORSHIPPING THE DRAGON, STRUGGLING ENDLESSLY TO DISCOVER THE MEANING OF LIFE THROUGH THEIR MANY FALSE DEITIES AND PHILOSOPHIES, WHICH ALL STEM FROM BABYLONIAN SORCERY AND THE WORSHIP OF THE SUN, MOON AND STARS (MAZZAROTH/ZODIAC WORSHIP). BUT FOR THOSE WHO TRUSTED YAHUSHA, HIS TRUE PROPHETS REPRESENTED THE END OF MAGICAL OMENS AND DIVINATION! AND YISHARAL WAS JUST BEGINNING TO LEARN THIS NEW REALITY.

And YAHUSHA met Balaam and gave him a message, saying, “Go back to Balak and give him My message.”

So Balaam returned and found the King standing beside his `burnt’ offerings with all the officials of Moab. “What did Yahuah say?” King Balak asked eagerly. And this was the message Balaam delivered: “Rise up, Balak, and listen! Hear me, son of Zippor. Yahuah’s not a man, so he doesn’t lie. He’s not human either, so he doesn’t change His mind. Has He ever spoken and failed to act? Has He ever made a promise and not carried it through? Listen! I received an instruction to bless! Yes, Yahuah has blessed, and I cannot reverse it! There can be no sorcery or misfortune against Jacob and no trouble or divination against Yisharal. For Yahuah their Alahim is with them and He‘s been proclaimed as their King. Yahuah brought them out of Egypt and He’s as strong as a wild ox for them. No curse can touch Jacob, no magic has any power against Yisharal. For now it’ll be said of Jacob, ‘What wonders Yahuah has done for Yisharal!’ These people rise up like a lioness, like a majestic lion awakening. They refuse to rest until they have feasted on prey, drinking the blood of the slaughtered!”

Then King Balak said to Balaam, “Fine dammit, but if you won’t curse them, you better not bless them either!”

But Balaam replied to King Balak, “I’ve already told you, I can only say what Yahuah tells me?”

BALAAM'S THIRD MESSAGE (NUM.24)

Then King Balak said to Balaam, “Come and I’ll take you to one more place and perhaps it will please Yahuah to let you curse them from there.”

So Balak took Balaam to the top of Mount Peor, overlooking the wasteland.

BALAK WAS VERY PERSISTENT AND ASSUMED THAT IF BALAAM CURSED THEM FROM A SPOT WHERE HE WOULDN’T SEE SO MUCH OF THE POPULATION OF YISHARAL, HE WOULDN’T BE SO INTIMIDATED AND IT WOULD BE EASIER FOR HIM TO DO HIS JOB.

And again Balaam told King Balak, “Build me seven altars, and prepare seven young bulls and seven rams for me to sacrifice.”

So King Balak did as Balaam ordered and offered a young bull and a ram on each altar.

By now Balaam realised that YAHUSHA was determined to bless Yisharal so he stopped looking for opportunities to curse them through sorcery, and turning, he looked out toward the wilderness where the people of Yisharal camped (tribe by tribe) and he surrendered to the plan of YAHUSHA (Who then came upon him), and this is the message he delivered: “This is the message of Balaam son of Beor, whose eyes see clearly, who hears the Words of Yahuah and sees a vision from Al Shaddai, who bows down with eyes wide open. How beautiful are your tents, O Jacob, how lovely are your homes, O Yisharal! They spread before me like palm groves, like gardens by the riverside. They are like tall trees planted by Yahuah, like cedars beside the waters. Water will flow from their buckets and their offspring have all they need. Their King will be greater than Agag and their kingdom will be exalted. Yahuah brought them out of Egypt and for them He is as strong as a wild ox. He devours all the nations that oppose Him, breaking their bones in pieces, shooting them with arrows. Like a lion, Yisharal crouches and lies down, like a lioness, and who dares to arouse her? Blessed is everyone who blesses you, O Yisharal, and cursed is everyone who curses you.”

UP UNTIL NOW, YAHUSHA HAD BEEN LITERALLY PUTTING HIS OWN WORDS IN BALAAM’S MOUTH BUT NOW WE’RE TOLD THAT THE SPIRIT OF YAHUSHA CAME UPON BALAAM AND THEN HE SPOKE USING HIS OWN WORDS. CAN YOU SEE THE DIFFERENCE? IN THE FIRST TWO MESSAGES, THE WORDS BALAAM SPOKE WERE THE EXACT WORDS DIRECTLY FROM THE MOUTH OF YAHUSHA HIMSELF. HOWEVER, IN THIS THIRD MESSAGE BALAAM IS SPEAKING HIS OWN WORDS BY THE ANNOINTING OF YAHUSHA’S SPIRIT THAT RESTED UPON HIM. THIS IS LIKE THE SPEECHES AND TEACHINGS OF YAHUSHA’S FOLLOWERS IN ACTS. THE WORDS THEY SPOKE WERE STILL THEIR OWN WORDS BUT UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF YAHUSHA’S SPIRIT. MANY OF THE EARLY PROPHETS (LIKE BALAAM IN HIS FIRST TWO MESSAGES) LITERALLY HAD YAHUSHA’S DIVINE WORDS PLACED INTO THEIR MOUTHS, SUPERNATURALLY SPEAKING FOR THEM (AS THE DONKEY DID ALSO). HOWEVER, WITH PAUL AND THE FOLLOWERS IN THE `LATTER SCRIPTURES, THEY SPOKE THEIR OWN WORDS BUT UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF YAHUSHA’S SPIRIT. THEIR WORDS WERE FILTERED THROUGH THEIR OWN MINDS, UNDERSTANDINGS AND CULTURES, WHICH IS NOT TO SAY THAT THEIR WORDS ARE ANY LESS VALID, ON THE CONTRARY (JUST LIKE THE BRIDE TODAY) YAHUSHA FLOWS THROUGH ANY MOUTHPIECE THAT WILL SURRENDER TO HIM. IT’S JUST MORE INTIMATE AND A PRIVILEGE TO GIVE OVER FREELY AND ENTER INTO THE PORTAL.

Then King Balak flew into a violent rage against Balaam. He angrily clapped his hands together and shouted, “OY DOUCH-BAG . . . I CALLED YOU TO CURSE THESE PEOPLE AND YOU’VE BLESSED THEM THREE TIMES INSTEAD. NOW GET THE HELL OUTTA HERE! GO HOME! I PROMISED TO REWARD YOU RICHLY, BUT SCREW THAT, YOUR YAHUAH HAS MADE YOUR REWARD NOTHING. ZERO!”

But Balaam told Balak, “Don’t you remember what I told your messengers? I said `Even if King Balak gave me his palace filled with silver and gold, I would be powerless to do anything against the will of Yahuah.’ I told you that I could say only what Yahuah says! So yes! Now I’m returning to my own people. But first let me tell you what Yisharal will do to your people in the future.”

BALAAM'S FINAL MESSAGE (NUM.24)

“This is the message of Balaam son of Beor, whose eyes see clearly, who hears the words of Yahuah and sees a vision from Al Shaddai (MIGHTY ALAHIM OF THE MOUNTAIN) THIS IS THE THIRD MOUNTAIN BALAAM HAS BEEN TAKEN TO NOW! . . . Who bows down with eyes wide open. I see Him, but not here and now. Yes I sense him, but far in the distant future. A star will rise from Jacob and a scepter will emerge from Yisharal.

BOTH OF THESE PHRASES CAN BE REFERRING TO BOTH KING DAVID AND ALSO YAHUSHA. IT’S INTERESTING TO NOTE THAT IN THE ANCIENT MIDDLE EAST, KINGS WERE OFTEN REFERRED TO AS “STARS“.

It will crush the heads of Moab’s people, cracking the skulls of the people of Sheth. Edom will be taken over and Seir, its enemy, will be conquered while Yisharal marches on in triumph. A ruler will rise in Jacob who will destroy the survivors of Ir.”

Then Balaam looked over toward the people of Amaleq and delivered this message:

“Amalek was the greatest of the nations, but its destiny is destruction!”

Then he looked over toward the Kenites and delivered this message: “Your home is secure and your nest is set in the rocks. But the Kenites will be destroyed when Assyria takes you captive.”

Then Balaam concluded his messages by saying: “Alas, who can survive unless Yahuah has willed it? Ships will come from the coasts of Cyprus and they will oppress Assyria and afflict Eber, but they, too, will be utterly destroyed.” Then Balaam left and returned home, and King Balak also went on his way.
