YISHARAL LEAVES SINAI (NUM.10)
In the second year after Yisharal’s departure from Egypt (on the twentieth day of the second month) the cloud lifted from the Tabernacle of the Blood-Covenant Witness (the Ark) and the Yisharalites (following the Instructions YAHUSHA had given Moses) set out for the first time from the wilderness of Sinai and travelled on from place to place until the cloud rested over the wilderness of Paran.
The Tribe of Judah led the way, travelling in military order behind their banner, and their leader was Nahshon son of Amminadab. And they were joined by the Tribe of Issachar (led by Nethanel son of Zuar) and the Tribe of Zebulun (led by Eliab son of Helon).
Then the Tabernacle was taken down, and the Gershonite and Merarite clans (of the Levites) were next in the line to leave Sinai, carrying the Tabernacle with them.
The Tribe of Reuben went next, marching behind their banner (their leader was Elizur son of Shedeur) and they were joined by the Tribe of Simeon (led by Shelumial son of Zurishaddai) and the Tribe of Gad (led by Eliasaph son of Deuel).
Next came the Kohathite clan of the Levites, carrying the set-apart objects from the Tabernacle and before Yisharal arrived at the next camp, the Tabernacle would already be set up at its new location.
The Tribe of Ephraim went next, travelling behind their banner (their leader was Elishama son Tribe of Manasseh (led by Gamaliel son of Pedahzur) and the Tribe of Benjamin, (led by Abidan son of Gideoni).
And the Tribe of Dan went last, behind their banner and serving as the rear guard for all the tribal camps (their leader was Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai) and they were joined by the Tribe of Asher (led by Pagiel son of Ocran) and the Tribe of Naphtali (led by Ahira son of Enan). This was the order in which Yisharal travelled, division by division.
THE PREPARATIONS, MARCHING ORDERS AND THE WHOLE PROCESSION HAS A VERY DISTINCT MILITARY FEEL TO IT BECAUSE THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF EVERYTHING BEING DONE HERE WAS TO CREATE AN ORGANISED AND UNSTOPPABLE FIGHTING FORCE SO THAT YISHARAL COULD TAKE THE LAND OF CANAAN BY FORCE!!! ALL OF THE PRAYER, WORSHIP RITUALS AND SACRIFICES WERE MERE PREPARATION FOR YISHARAL TO ENGAGE IN A SET-APART WAR AGAINST THE NATIONS.
And Moses said to his brother-in-law, Hobab (son of Reual/Jethro the Midianite), “We’re on our way to the place Yahuah promised to give us, so please come with us and we’ll treat you well, for Yahuah has indeed promised wonderful blessings for Yisharal!”
But Hobab replied, “Nah mate, thanks but I need to get back to my own land and family.”
“Please don’t leave us, you know this wilderness like the back of your hand, all the top spots where we should camp. Won't you come and be our tour guide and we’ll share with you all the blessings Yahuah gives us.”
MOUNT SINAI IS ABSOLUTELY NOT LOCATED IN THE SINAI PENINSULA (WHERE ST. KATHERINE’S MONASTERY IS LOCATED) BUT ON THE ARABIAN PENINSULA ACROSS THE GULF OF AQABA (THE HISTORIANS JOSEPHUS AND PHILO STATE THIS CLEARLY AS WELL AS PAUL IN GALATIANS).MOSES’S BURNING BUSH EXPERIENCE ALSO TOOK PLACE IN MIDIAN WHICH IS ON THE ARABIAN PENINSULA AND THIS IS THE SAME SPOT AS MT SINAI. SO THIS HOBAB (THE MIDIANITE FELLOW) IS OBVIOUSLY VERY FAMILIAR WITH THE AREA YISHARAL WILL BE TRAVELLING THROUGH BECAUSE IT’S PRACTICALLY HIS BACKYARD.
So Yisharal travelled for three days after leaving the mountain of the Yahusha, with the Ark of the Blood-Covenant Witness moving ahead of them to show them where to stop and rest. And as they moved on each day, the cloud of YAHUSHA hovered over them and whenever the Ark set out, Moses would shout, “Rise up Yahuah, and let your enemies be scattered and those who hate You run for their lives!” And when the Ark was set down again, he would say, “Return Yahuah, to the countless thousands of Yisharal!”
