Daniel was written at the time of Antiochus Epiphanes around 164 BC and as the Book opens, Judah has already been carried off to Babylon. Why? What Happened?
After Solomon fell into Idolatry, Yahuah allows Yisharal to stay fairly intact (to honor the promises He made to His servant King David). But (as prophesied by Ahijah in 1 Kings 11), the Nation of Yisharal (12 Tribes) were divided into two Kingdoms/Houses around 975 B.C. (after the death of Solomon and during the reign of his son, Rehoboam). One of the main reasons this happened is because the people revolted against the heavy taxes levied by Solomon and Rehoboam.
During Rehoboam's Reign, the Tribe of Judah and the majority of the Tribe of Benjamin all accepted REHOBOAM as their King . They
became the House of Judah, (or the southern kingdom of Yisharal), with its capital at Jerusalem ... JEWS!
The other 10 Tribes chose JEROBOAM as their King. These collective Ten Tribes retained the title of Yisharal, and became known also as Ephraim, which was the dominant Tribe. They became the Northern Kingdom, with their headquarters at Shechem in Samaria.
Judah remained (only slightly) more obedient to Yahuah, and almost as soon as the Northern Kingdom of Yisharal was established, it went into Idolatry. Although great prophets such as Elijah and Amos served in the Kingdom, the people worshiped false deities and adopted many practices of Baalism.
The kingdom of Yisharal (10 TRIBES) were more populous and powerful, but it fell some 135 years before Judah did. In about 722 B.C Yisharal was
captured by the Assyrians, and carried away, and subsequently, became lost and scattered into the nations, losing their identity and assimilating into the known world.
Geographically, Judah was less exposed to attack, but about 588 B.C, Babylon's King Nebuchadnezzar laid siege to Jerusalem and virtually put an end to the Kingdom of Judah, as its people were taken captive into Babylon. After around 70 years in captivity, Persia's King Cyrus subdued Babylon and permitted Judah to return to Jerusalem. Many of the people of Judah had become scattered throughout Asia, but the majority did return to Jerusalem. Attacked by Syria and Egypt ...
Judah never really regained its former power, and by the time of Yahusha, Jerusalem had become occupied by Rome.
We don't hear much else about the lost Ten Tribes for the remainder of the Scriptures, except to learn that they continued to exist in their exile and that (according to prophesies) at some time in the future, they would return in mass to the promised land and join up with Judah to form one unified nation that would never end ... PROPHESY STATES THIS!
The uninspired mind
(without the true spirit of Yahusha) looks at those prophesies and says that YAHUAH'S PEOPLE WEREN'T ACTUALLY DIVORCED OR REJECTED BY YAHUAH, BUT WERE MERELY IN A STATE OF SUFFERING FROM YAHUAH'S INDIGNATION AND FURY AGAINST THEM - THEY WERE JUST BEING PUNISHED !?
The uninspired mind looks at all these “returning” prophesies (of two sticks becoming one etc etc) purely in the natural and fully expects the 12 Tribes of Yisharal (after
the flesh) to physically return to the Middle Eastern City of Jerusalem for one huge restoration party, right before Yahusha returns. The UN has even convinced Orthodox Judaism (and much of the world) that the Jews have a part of their promised land back and so the party has been raging for years, and Modern-Day Israel is now one of the capitals of debauchery, perversion, LGBTQI and idolatry. Obviously this act by the U.N was merely a sham and the origin of so many wars and conflicts in the Middle East.
The INSPIRED mind (from Yahusha’s Spirit) can look at the prophesies and know (without a shadow of a doubt) that THE 12 TRIBES (though a people deeply loved) WERE BUT A SHADOW of a special nation/fellowship of believers from all races and walks of life, who Yahusha would call and place His Spirit within (after repentance and immersion into a New Blood-Covenant). Everything required from (and promised to) the original 12 Tribes have now been placed upon Yahusha’s Bride, all the
blessings for obedience and curses for disobedience to His living Words and Commandments. Of course this must be abstractly discerned personally and activated through our daily behaviour of belief and trust.

JEREMIAH 25
4"YAHUAH has sent to you all His servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, but you haven't listened or inclined your ear to hear them. 5They said, ‘Everyone turn back now from your evil ways and from your wicked behaviour, and you'll continue to live on the soil which YAHUAH has given to you and your fathers forever and ever. 6‘And don't go after other dumb idols to serve them and to bow down to them. And don't provoke Me with your lifestyle and craftmanship, so that I don't have to give you evil consequences.’ 7But you didn't listen to Me,' declares YAHUAH, 'and you've definately provoke Me with your evil behaviour.
8Therefore says YAHUAH of Hosts, ‘Because you didn't obey My words, 9I'm sending and taking all the Tribes of the north,’ declares YAHUAH, ‘and Nebuchadnezzar the King of Babel, My servant, will bring them against this land and against all its inhabitants, and against these nations all around, and will put them under the ban, and make them an astonishment, and a hissing, and everlasting ruins. 10And I'll banish the voice of rejoicing from them, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the Bridegroom and the voice of the Bride, the sound of the millstones and the light of the lamp. 11And all this land will be a ruin and a waste, and these nations will serve the King of Babel 70 years.
12And it will be, when 70 years are completed, that I will punish the King of Babel and that nation, the land of the Kaldeans, for all their crookedness,’ declares YAHUAH, ‘and i'll make it everlasting ruins. 13And I'll bring on that land all My Words which I've spoken against it, all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah has prophesied concerning all the nations. 14For they too will be enslaved by many nations and great Kings. And I will repay them according to their deeds and behaviour.’”
For YAHUAH Alahim of Yisharal says to me, “Take this wine cup of wrath from My hand, and make all the nations, (to whom I've sent you) drink it. 16And they will drink, and shake, and go mad because of the sword that I'm sending among them. . .
Drink, be drunk, and vomit! Fall and rise no more, because of the sword which I'm sending among you.” 28And it will be, when they refuse to take the cup from your hand to drink, then you will say to them, ‘YAHUAH of Hosts says “O' You'll drink it alright! 29Just look, I'm starting to hurl evil on the city which is called by My own Name, so do you think you'll go unpunished? Hardly! You won't escape My wrath, no one will, for I'm bringing a sword on all the people of the earth,” says YAHUAH of Hosts.
30“And you will prophesy against them all these words, and say to them, ‘YAHUAH roars from on high, and surges His voice from His set-apart dwelling place. He thunders mightily over His fold, a shout like those who tread the grapes, against all the people of the earth. 31Tumultuous confusion and chaos will come to the whole earth, for YAHUAH has a furious argument against the nations and will happily enter into judgment with all flesh. The wrong will get the sword,’ declares YAHUAH.”
32YAHUAH of Hosts says, “See, evil is going forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind is raised up from the farthest parts of the earth. 33And in that day the slain in YAHUAH will be from one end of the earth to the other. They will not be lamented, or gathered, or buried, for they are dung on the face of the ground, hated by the world.
34So howl, you shepherds, and cry! And roll yourselves in the ashes and mourn, you leaders of the flock! For the days of your slaughter and your scatterings are finished, and you will fall like a choice vessel. 35And a place of refuge will perish from the shepherds, and escape from the leaders of the flock. 36Hear the cry of the shepherds, and awailing of the leaders of the flock, for YAHUAH is ravaging their pasture! 37And the pastures of peace will be cut down because of the burning displeasure of YAHUAH.
38Like a lion He will leave His hiding place, for their land shall become a waste, because of the sword of oppressors, and because of His burning displeasure.”
YAHUAH SAID THAT BECAUSE JUDAH INFURIATED HIM WITH THEIR SINFUL WICKEDNESS AND IDOLATRY, HE WAS GIVING THEM A CERTIFICATE OF DIVORCE (AS HE DID THE FORMER TRIBES EARLIER) AND WOULD SEND NEBUCHADNEZZAR AGAINST THEM TO EXPRESS HIS FURY ON THEM. AND AFTER THIS SET PERIOD OF TIME YAHUAH WOULD TURN HIS FURY AWAY FROM JUDAH AND INSTEAD DIRECT IT TOWARDS BABYLON FOR HAVING BEEN TOO HARSH ON HIS PEOPLE.
BUT EVEN THOUGH A LARGE PORTION RETURNED TO THEIR LAND AND EVENTUALLY REBUILT THEIR TEMPLE AGAIN (WHICH YAHUAH ALLOWED), HE NEVER RETURNED TO A MAN-MADE STRUCTURE EVER AGAIN,
AND YISHARAL NEVER EXPERIENCED THE ZENITH OF GLOBAL POWER, WEALTH, PEACE AND PROSPERITY THAT THEY DID UNDER SOLOMON THROUGH THE LIVING PRESENCE OF YAHUAH IN HIS TEMPLE.
THE NATION HAD TRULY FLOURISHED IN A HOME OF THEIR OWN (AS PROMISED TO ABRAHAM), BUT SATAN'S IDOLATRY PREVAILED - AND THE JEWS HAVE BEEN DIVORCED AND SEPARATED TO THEMSELVES AND THEIR RELIGIOUS NONSENSE EVER SINCE.
THE EXILE OF THE TEN NORTHERN TRIBES WAS INDEFINITE THROUGH A THOROUGH SCATTERING OVER A VAST AREA, BUT THE EXILE OF JUDAH WAS FIXED FOR 70 YEARS AND YAHUAH ALLOWED MOST OF THEM TO BE TOGETHER AS A GROUP, SENT TO A COMMON PLACE. SO WHILE THE SENSE OF COMMUNITY WAS BROKEN FOR THE TEN TRIBES, THE SENSE OF COMMUNITY FOR JUDAH WOULD REMAIN INTACT .... kinda!
ANYWAY ... THIS BRIDGES THE GAP FROM SOLOMON AND SHOWS US THE POLITICAL CLIMATE THAT WE FIND OURSELVES IN AT THE BEGINNING OF THE BOOK OF DANIEL.
THE TAKEAWAY IS THAT YAHUSHA IS NOT MOCKED AND WILL DISH OUT CONSEQUENCES FOR EVERY BAD BEHAVIOUR AGAINST HIS WORD, WHETHER IT HAPPENS IMMEDIATELY, IN A WEEK, MONTH OR YEAR, NO ONE GETS AWAY WITH ANYTHING IN HIS WORLD. OUR VERY LIVES (AND EVERY BREATH) CONTINUES PURELY BECAUSE HE ALLOWS IT. HE'S IN THAT MUCH CONTROL!!
DO YOU WALK AROUND HIS EARTH KNOWING THAT EVERY SINGLE WORD, THOUGHT AND BEHAVIOUR IS BEING RECORDED BY THE ANGELS? DO YOU LIVE AS THOUGH YAHUSHA IS RETURNING ANY DAY NOW? ... OR ARE YOU ANGRY, CLAMMED UP AND DEPRESSED BECAUSE HAVING YOUR OWN WAY AND DOING WHAT YOU WANT JUST DOESN'T MAKE YOU HAPPY?
