A RENEWED BLOOD-COVENANT WITNESS (EX.34)
Then YAHUSHA told Moses, “Cut out two stone tablets like the first ones that I gave you and I’ll write on them the same words that were on the tablets you smashed. And be ready in the morning to climb up Mount Sinai and present yourself to Me on the top of the mountain. No one else may come with you. In fact, no one is to appear anywhere on the mountain. Do not even let the flocks or herds graze near the mountain.”
So Moses chiseled out two tablets of stone like the first ones and early in the morning he climbed Mount Sinai as YAHUSHA had instructed him, and he carried the two stone tablets in his hands.
WHEN THE BLOOD-COVENANT IS BROKEN YAHUSHA RENEWS IT USING A MAN AS THE MEDIATOR.
Then YAHUSHA came down in a cloud and stood with him there and proclaimed his own Name, “Yahuah”. Then YAHUSHA passed in front of Moses, saying “I am Yahuah, the Alahim of compassion and favor! I’m slow to anger and filled with great love and truth. I lavish My kindness on a thousand generations, forgiving lawlessness, rebellion, and wicked behavior. But I do not excuse the guilty. I lay the wickedness of the parents upon their children and grandchildren and the entire family is affected, even children in the third and fourth generations.”
IN THOSE DAYS AN EXTENDED FAMILY LIVING TOGETHER FROM BIRTH TO DEATH LASTED ABOUT 3 OR 4 GENERATIONS, SO THIS IS REFERRING TO THE ENTIRE HOUSEHOLD BECAUSE WHEN ONE FAMILY MEMBER DISOBEYS, IT AFFECTS THE WHOLE FAMILY.
And Moses immediately threw himself to the ground in the presence of YAHUSHA, saying, “O my Master, if it’s really true that I‘ve found favor with You, then please travel with us. I know we’re a stubborn and rebellious people, but please forgive our evil and wicked behavior. Claim us as Your own treasured possession and inheritance.”
Then YAHUSHA replied, “Listen, I’m raising up My Eternal-Blood-Covenant of Deliverance with you in the presence of all your people and I will perform miracles and wonders that have never been seen anywhere in all the earth or in any nation. And all the people around you will see the power of Yahuah, for what I’m doing with you is truly awesome. Guard what I command you today, for I am going ahead of you and driving out the Amorites and the Canaanites and the Kittites and the Perizzites and the Kuis and the Jebusites. But be very careful to never make a Covenant Treaty with any of the people who live in the land where you are going, for if you do, you will follow their evil ways and be trapped.
BUT BREAK DOWN THEIR ALTARS, AND SMASH THEIR PILLARS OF JEALOUSLY, AND CUT DOWN THEIR ASHERIM TREES FOR YOU DO NOT BOW YOURSELVES TO ANOTHER MIGHTY ONE, FOR I YAHUAH, EVEN MY NAME IS PASSIONATELY JEALOUS, SO DON’T DARE MAKE A COVENANT WITH THE INHABITANTS OF THE LAND, FOR THEY WHORE AFTER THEIR MIGHTY ONES, AND SLAUGHTER TO THEIR FALSE DEITIES.
And if one of them invites you and you eat of his slaughtering, then you will accept their daughters, who sacrifice to other deities, as wives for your sons. And they will seduce your sons to commit whoring against Me by worshipping other deities and mighty ones. You must not make any mighty ones of molten metal for yourselves.
YAHUSHA WON’T TOLERATE PRACTICES HE’S DECLARED UNCLEAN!
And you must celebrate the Festival of Unleavened Bread. For seven days the bread you eat must be made without yeast, just as I commanded you. Celebrate this festival annually at the appointed time in early spring, in the month of Abib, for that is the anniversary of your departure from Egypt. The firstborn of every animal belongs to Me, including the firstborn males from your herds of cattle and your flocks of sheep and goats. A firstborn donkey may be bought back from Me by presenting a lamb or young goat in its place. But if you do not buy it back, you must break its neck. However, you must buy back every firstborn son. And No one may appear before Me without an offering.
You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but on the seventh day you must stop working, even during the seasons of plowing and harvest.
And You must celebrate the Festival of Weeks (Shabuoth) with the first-fruits of the wheat harvest, and celebrate the Festival of the Ingathering at the end of the harvest season. Three times each year every man in Yisharal must appear before your Master Yahuah, the Alahim of Yisharal. And I will drive out the other nations ahead of you and expand your territory borders, so no one will desire and conquer your land while you appear before Me these three times each year.
You must not offer the blood of my sacrificial offerings together with any baked goods containing yeast. And none of the meat of the Passover sacrifice may be kept over until the next morning. As you harvest your crops, bring the very best firstfruits of the harvest to My house, the House of Yahuah your Alahim. You must not cook a young goat in its mother’s milk.
A COMMON PAGAN RELIGIOUS RITE OF THAT TIME AND NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MIXING OF FOODS!
Then YAHUSHA said to Moses, “Write down all these instructions, for they represent the terms of the Eternal-Blood-Covenant I have made with you and with Yisharal.”
And Moses remained there on the mountain with YAHUSHA for another forty days and nights and in all that time he ate no bread and drank no water. And YAHUSHA wrote the terms of the Blood-Covenant (marriage ketubah), the ten words on the stone tablets. And when Moses came down Mount Sinai carrying the two stone tablets of the Blood-Covenant Witness, he wasn’t aware that the skin of his face shone so radiantly bright because he had been speaking with YAHUSHA. So when Aaron and the people of Yisharal saw the radiance of Moses’s face, they were afraid to come near him.
LIGHT RADIATED FROM THE FACE OF MOSES AFTER BEING WITH YAHUSHA - THE “LIGHT” OF THE WORLD.
But Moses called out to them and asked Aaron and all the leaders of the community to come over, and he talked with them. Then all the people of Yisharal approached him, and Moses gave them all the instructions that YAHUSHA had given him on Mount Sinai. When Moses finished speaking with them, he covered his face with a veil. But whenever he went into the Tent of Meeting to speak with YAHUSHA, he would remove the veil until he came out again. Then he would give the people whatever instructions YAHUSHA had given him, and the people of Yisharal would see the radiant glow of his face. So he would put the veil over his face again until he returned to speak with YAHUSHA again.
THE PEOPLE WERE AFRAID OF YAHUSHA’S VOICE AND HIS PRESENCE, AN INTIMATE RELATIONSHIP THAT YAHUSHA HAD INTENDED TO HAVE WITH ALL HIS PEOPLE, WAS REJECTED BY THEM BECAUSE OF THE UNCLEANLINESS OF THEIR BEHAVIOURS. SO WHEN CONFRONTED WITH YAHUSHA THEY RAN AWAY SCARED INSTEAD OF ENTERING INTO THE LIGHT.
