SILVER TRUMPETS (NUM.9)
THE CLOUD OF FIRE
On the day the Tabernacle was set up, the cloud covered it. But from evening until morning the cloud over the Tabernacle looked like a pillar of fire. This was the regular pattern, at night the cloud that covered the Tabernacle had the appearance of fire and whenever the cloud lifted from over the Tabernacle, the people of Yisharal would break camp and follow it. And wherever the cloud rested and settled, they would set up camp. This is how YAHUSHA taught His people to trust and follow Him, travelling and camping at His leading, wherever He told them to go. Sometimes the cloud stayed in a location for months or years and sometimes for only a day, but whenever it moved-on Yisharal would follow, travelling at His Instruction and doing whatever YAHUSHA instructed through Moses.
PRIOR TO THE FIRST PASSOVER IN EGYPT, WE HARDLY SEE ANY OCCURRENCES OF YAHUSHA MANIFESTING HIMSELF IN THE FORM OF A HUGE FIRE-CLOUD. IT WAS SUCH AN INTIMATE AND VISIBLE WAY TO PROTECT AND REASSURE YISHARAL OF HIS UNWAVERING LOVE. WE SEE A PERFECT PICTURE OF A FATHER LOVINGLY LEADING, TEACHING AND GUIDING HIS CHILDREN AND ISN’T IT PHENOMENAL THAT YAHUSHA’S BRIDE YISHARAL CAN BE DIRECTED TODAY IN SUCH AN INTIMATE AND CLEAR FASHION? IF WE OBEY HIS INSTRUCTIONS FOR US TO THE BEST OF OUR ABILITY AND KNOWLEDGE, WE HAVE INTIMACY WITH OUR CREATOR THROUGH THE OPEN-PORTAL DOORWAY THAT CONNECTS US TO HIS LOVE. THE FIRE-CLOUD OF YAHUSHA LEADING HIS PEOPLE PRESENTS A BEAUTIFUL PATTERN THAT SHOWS US HOW OUR WALK WITH HIM IS SUPPOSED TO BE IF WE OBEY HIM AND IT’S NO ACCIDENT THAT THIS IMAGERY IS ALSO BROUGHT FORWARD IN THE LATTER SCRIPTURES. FOR EXAMPLE, YAHUSHA’S TRANSFIGURATION OCCURRED IN THE MIDST OF A CLOUD AND WHEN HE ASCENDED, HE ROSE UP INTO THE CLOUDS. AND WE’RE ALSO TOLD, HE WILL RETURN ON A CLOUD FROM THE SKY. THIS IS AN AWESOME PICTURE THAT ILLUSTRATES WHAT IT MEANS TO WALK WITH YAHUSHA. WHEN HE MOVES, WE MOVE. WHEN HE REMAINS STILL, WE REMAIN STILL, WHEN HE TELLS US TO SPEAK, WE OPEN OUR MOUTHS AND WHEN TELLS US TO SHUT IT, WE ARE QUIET. THIS TEACHES US THAT DOING ANYTHING BUT WALKING IN SYNC WITH HIM IS MEANINGLESS ACTIVITY, AND IT’S OBVIOUS TO THOSE WHO ARE HAVING THIS EXPERIENCE WHEN SOMEONE ISN’T, BUT INSTEAD, RELYING ON SHADOWS.
TWO SILVER TRUMPETS
And YAHUAH said to Moses, “These are the final preparations Yisharal must make to begin their journey through the wilderness. Make two trumpets of hammered silver for Aaron and his sons (the priests) to communicate with Yisharal, both calling the assembly together and signalling them to break camp and move on.
When both trumpets are blown, all the assembly shall meet at the door of the Tabernacle, but if ONLY ONE TRUMPET is blown, just the leaders of Yisharal need to gather. And when you blow a SHOUT (`TERUAH’ A SHORT STACCATO ALARM BLAST IN ‘MACHINE-GUN-FIRE’ FASHION) for the first time, the tribes camped on the east side must break camp and depart the area. And when you blow a shout on the trumpet for a second time, the tribes camped on the south side must break camp and follow them, and so on.
So when Yisharal is to be assembled, blow the trumpets with a big long blast (no shout) and when it’s time to move on, blow a SHOUT. But remember it’s only the sons of Aaron (the priests) who blow the trumpets. This is an Instruction forever throughout your generations. So when you arrive in your own land and go to war against your enemies who attack and distress you, sound the alarm with a SHOUT of the trumpets. Then I’ll remember you and deliver you from your enemies. Blow the trumpets in times of gladness, too, sounding them at your appointed times and at the beginning of each month. And blow them over your ASCENDING-NEAR and INTIMATE-PEACE OFFERINGS too for they’ll be a reminder of the Eternal Blood Covenant I’ve lifted up with you, for I am Yahuah your Alahim.
IN THOSE DAYS, THE BLOWING OF THESE TRUMPETS WERE THE SIGNALS USED TO ALERT THE PEOPLE THAT AN IMPORTANT INSTRUCTION FROM YAHUAH HAD JUST BEEN GIVEN. VISUALLY SPEAKING, THESE TRUMPETS WERE BASICALLY A STRAIGHT TUBE ABOUT HALF A METRE (1.5 FEET) LONG THAT FLARED OUT AT THEIR ENDS AND THEIR PURPOSE WAS SIMPLE: TO DIRECT YISHARAL AS A MILITARY FORCE. OF COURSE, THE USE OF TRUMPETS WAS NOT UNIQUE TO YISHARAL, FOR IN ANCIENT TIMES, THE NATIONS HAVE ALWAYS USED THE BLOWING OF HORNS OR THE BEATING OF DRUMS AS RALLYING CRIES TO BEGIN A WAR.
