TODAY WE LOOK AT THE MANY TONGUES OF `LANGUAGE' AND HOW YAHUSHA REVERSES THE JUDGMENT OF CONFUSION HE SENT TO BABEL: (NIMROD/SATAN) A PLACE OF REBELLION, BLASPHEMY, AND THE BRICKS AND MORTAR OF SELF-WORSHIP. YAHUSHA IS ABOUT TO UNIFY AND EMPOWER HIS NEW BRIDE, HIS LIVELY STONES THAT WORSHIP HIM AND THROUGH HIS SET-APART SPIRIT, TAKE OVER HER 'LANGUAGE' IN ORDER TO AFFECT THE WHOLE WORLD.
AS INSTRUCTED, 120 OF YAHUSHA'S FOLLOWERS HAVE BEEN GATHERING TOGETHER FOR AROUND A WEEK NOW (SINCE HE ASCENDED INTO THE SKY) AND THEY'RE WAITING FOR THE PROMISE* OF HIS DIVINE SPIRIT.
*PROPHECY FROM JEREMIAH (TORAH WRITTEN ON HEARTS) AND EZEKIEL (NEW HEART, NEW SPIRIT).
ACTS 2.
A week after YAHUSHA ascended it was the day of Pentecost, the annual Feast to celebrate the giving of the Divine Laws (WEDDING VOWS) to Moses on Mount Sinai. And all of YAHUSHA’S followers were gathered together in one place. 2Suddenly while they were praying, there was a noise from Heaven like the sound of a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the house where they were meeting.
4And they were all filled with YAHUSHA’S Set-Apart Spirit and began to speak in all sorts of foreign languages as the Spirit empowered them.
ALL THIS LANGUAGE POINTS US BACK TO SINAI ...
THEY SAW THE FIERY WORD COMING OUT OF THE MOUTH OF THE ALMIGHTY AS IT WAS STRUCK UPON THE TABLETS, AS IT IS SAID:
PS 29 “THE VOICE OF YAHUAH WAS HEARD WITH POWER AND GREATNESS… THE VOICE OF YAHUAH HEWED OUT FLAMES OF FIRE.”
WHEN THE DIVINE LAWS WERE GIVEN ON MT. SINAI IT WAS GIVEN BY MEANS OF FLAMES AND THUNDERING, WHICH WAS ALWAYS SEEN AS YAHUAH’S VOICE.
3Then they saw fire appear, which separated into smaller flames (like fiery tongues), moving from person to person in all directions, until a flame had settled on each head there.
(THIS IS THE SAME DIVINE FIRE FROM HEAVEN THAT SHOT OUT FROM THE ARK IN THE TABERNACLE & TEMPLE OF YAHUAH’S NAME.)
EX 20:18
“AND ALL THE PEOPLE SAW THE THUNDERS, THE LIGHTNING FLASHES, THE SOUND OF THE RAM’S HORN, AND THE MOUNTAIN SMOKING. AND THE PEOPLE SAW IT, AND THEY TREMBLED AND STOOD AT A DISTANCE.”
WE'RE TOLD THAT TONGUES OF FIRE CAME FROM THE SKY, AND THE ORIGINAL WORD FOR 'TONGUES' AND 'LANGUAGES' IS IDENTICAL. SO THE PASSAGE SAYS THAT TONGUES/LANGUAGES OF FIRE RESTED UPON THE BELIEVERS AND THEN EACH BELIEVER BEGAN TO SPEAK A DIFFERENT TONGUE/ LANGUAGE, REFERRING TO THE TONGUE-ORGAN THAT WE ALL HAVE IN OUR MOUTHS.
SINCE THE TONGUE IS A NECESSARY PART OF THE ANATOMY FOR INTELLIGIBLE SPEECH, THEN WE SEE WHY `LANGUAGES’ WERE CALLED `TONGUES’. BUT WHY DID LUKE CALL THE SEPARATE BRANCHES OF FIRE THAT LANDED ON EACH BELIEVER 'TONGUES'?
DID THEY LOOK LIKE HUMAN TONGUES? POSSIBLY, BUT LUKE (A VERY ARTICULATE, MEDICAL MAN) WAS THINKING MORE IN TERMS OF THE ANCIENT UNDERSTANDING OF THIS FEAST AT SINAI.
THE SCRIBES AND RABBIS AT THE TIME TAUGHT THAT THE SINGLE VOICE THAT WAS THUNDERED FROM YAHUAH AND HEARD AT MT. SINAI BECAME DIVIDED INTO 7 AND THEN THE 7 INTO 70 LANGUAGES/TONGUES. WHY 70? BECAUSE IN THE TABLE OF NATIONS IN GENESIS WE'RE TOLD THAT YAHUAH (AT BABEL) DIVIDED THE EARTH INTO 70 NATIONS (WITH ITS OWN UNIQUE LANGUAGES). SO THE IDEA IS THAT THE DIVINE LAWS WERE GIVEN ON MT. SINAI IN A WAY THAT ALL THE LANGUAGES OF THE EARTH (CONSIDERED TO BE 70) HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO UNDERSTAND!
LUKE IS PORTRAYING THE COMING OF THE SPIRIT ON THIS FEAST AS ESSENTIALLY THE 2ND COMING OF THE TORAH ON MT. SINAI. FOR LUKE THIS AWE-INSPIRING EVENT OF THE VISIBLE, NOISY, COMING OF THE DIVINE SPIRIT ON PENTECOST, COMPLETE WITH FLAMES & FIRE AND WITH MANY LANGUAGES IS THE SEQUEL TO THE MT. SINAI EVENT, ONLY IT’S HAPPENING THIS TIME ON MT. ZION IN YERUSHALIM.
IT WAS NO COINCIDENCE THAT THE SPIRIT CAME ON PENTECOST AND IT WAS NO COINCIDENCE THAT IT CAME IN THE SAME MANNER OF SIGNS AND MIRACLES THAT HAD OCCURRED AT MT. SINAI 13 CENTURIES EARLIER. THE OBSERVERS AND RECEIVERS OF THIS AMAZING, TERRIFYING, AERIAL DISPLAY WERE JEWS IN YERUSHALIM, SEEING EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED WITHIN A FRAMEWORK OF JEWISH CULTURAL CUSTOMS AND THINKING.
HOW DOES THE SPIRIT WANT TO AFFECT OUR TONGUE / LANGUAGE ???
SO LUKE IS USING THE WORD 'TONGUE' TO ASSOCIATE WITH THE GIVING OF THE TORAH TO MOSES ON MT. SINAI, WHERE YAHUAH'S VOICE (LIKE A FIRE) DIVIDED INTO MANY 'TONGUES' AND EACH PERSON (OF THE MIXED MULTITUDE) HEARD THE VOICE IN THEIR OWN 'LANGUAGE'.
SO NOT ONLY IS LUKE PUTTING THIS PENTECOST HAPPENING IN THE CONTEXT OF THE FIRST MT. SINAI EVENT, HE'S USING THE SAME KEY WORDS (SUCH AS TONGUES AND FIRE) TO MAKE THE CONNECTION.
BUT THERE IS YET ANOTHER CONNECTION THAT MUST NOT BE OVERLOOKED, FOR AT PENTECOST WE HAVE ONE SPIRIT BEING SENT BY YAHUSHA (OUR MEDIATOR) THAT SEPARATES INTO MANY FLAMES AND RESTS ON EACH PERSON.
AND IN THE BOOK OF NUMBERS WE READ OF THE PREQUEL TO PENTECOST HAPPENING TO THE FIRST MEDIATOR MOSES, WHO HAD HIS ANOINTING SHARED WITH THE 70 ELDERS FOR A BRIEF TIME. AND WHEN THE 70 ELDERS RECEIVED THIS SPIRIT, THEY BEGAN SPEAKING ECSTATICALLY (PROPHESYING).
NOW 1300 YEARS LATER AT PENTECOST THE SAME SPIRIT THAT YAHUSHA HAD WAS SHARED WITH ALL THE NEW-COVENANT BELIEVERS - AND WHAT DID THEY IMMEDIATELY DO? THEY BEGAN SPEAKING ECSTATIC SPEECH, IN DIFFERENT LANGUAGES. YAHUAH IS AN ALAHIM OF PATTERNS AND SO EVERYTHING WE SEE HAPPENING IN THE NEW BLOOD-COVENANT WRITINGS WAS ALREADY ESTABLISHED IN THE OLD BLOOD-COVENANT TIMES.
YAHUSHA IS NO STRANGER TO AFFECTING LANGUAGE. HE CONFUSED THE TONGUES OF BABEL, WROTE ON BELSHAZZAR'S WALL IN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE, EVEN SPOKE TO THE FALSE PROPHET BALAAM THROUGH THE MOUTH OF A DONKEY! CAN'T HE DO ANYTHING? THEN HE TOLD HIS FOLLOWERS THAT THEY WOULD SPEAK IN DIFFERENT LANGUAGES ALL OVER THE WORLD. ISN'T HE AFFECTING YOUR TONGUE THROUGH HIS FIRE OF BURNING CHANGE? IS HE FINISHED YET?
LET'S SEE HOW THIS SUPERNATURAL EVENT WAS RECEIVED BY THE COMMUNITY :
5Now many dedicated Jews were staying in Yerushalim for the Appointed Feast. 6And when they heard this noise, a large crowd gathered, but they were surprised, because they were hearing everything in their own language (from around the world). 7They were excited and amazed, and said, “Hang on a minute! Don't all these people here come from Galilee?
8How come we can hear them speaking in our own native languages? 9Some of us are from Parthia, Media, and Elam. Others are from Mesopotamia, Judea, Cappadocia, Pontus, Asia, 10Phrygia, Pamphylia, Egypt, and parts of Libya near Cyrene, Rome, 11Crete, and Arabia. Some of us were born Jews, and others of us have chosen to be Jews. So how can these guys be telling us all the great things that YAHUAH has done, using our own language?”
12And everyone was so excited, yet confused, asking each other, “What’s all this about?” 13Of course there were others who mocked them, saying, “Nah, it’s nothing, they’re all just drunk n’off their faces.”
14But Peter stood with the other eleven of Yahusha’s close followers and spoke out in a loud, clear voice to the crowd, “Men of Judah and everyone living in Yerushalim, listen carefully to what I’ve got to say! 15These people aren’t drunk. I mean come on! It’s only 9am".
WHY DOES PETER CALL OUT "YOU MEN OF JUDAH“ WHEN THE CROWD WAS SO DIVERSE? BECAUSE YERUSHALIM (JUDAH) HAD BECOME THE ACADEMIC AND CULTURAL CENTRE FOR (WHAT HAD BECOME) RELIGIOUS JUDAISM. GALILEAN AND MANY OTHER JEWS HAD BEEN CUT OFF AND NOT INVOLVED WITH THEM. SO PETER OBVIOUSLY KNEW THAT IT WAS THESE ARROGANT RELIGIOUS JEWS (THAT HATED AND SENTENCED YAHUSHA) WHO WERE THE MOCKING RING-LEADERS.
16What you’re actually seeing is the amazing fulfilment of what YAHUAH told the prophet Joel, when he said:
17'In the last days THE DISCIPLES ASSUMED THEY WERE IN THE LAST DAYS I will give My Spirit to everyone. Your sons and daughters ROYAL LEGAL HEIRS will prophesy, your young men will see visions, and your old men will have dreams. NO AGEISM 18In those days I will give My Spirit to My servants, both men and women, and they will prophesy. NO SEXISM, RACISM OR CLASS DISINCTION 19I will work miracles in the sky above and wonders on the earth below. There will be blood and fire and clouds of smoke. 20The sun will turn dark, and the moon will be as red as blood before the great and wonderful day of YAHUAH appears. 21Then everyone who calls on the Name of YAHUAH will be delivered.' YAHUAH + YASHA (DELIVERANCE) = YAHUSHA
22Now, listen up to what I’m telling you - it’s all about YAHUSHA from Nazareth, and how YAHUAH proved to you that He’s the real deal, 100% authentic, having Him work all kinds of miracles, signs and wonders - yeah you all saw Him, and you know it’s true!
23YAHUAH had already planned and arranged that YAHUSHA would be handed over to you. And you played your part only too eagerly, getting lawless outsiders to do your dirty-work and put YAHUSHA to death on a torture-stake. 24But YAHUAH released Him from death and raised Him back to life, for death has no power over Him!
25Even King David prophesied about YAHUSHA’S resurrection, saying, “I always see YAHUAH with me, so I won’t live in fear or abandon my calling because He guides my right hand. 26My heart is glad and I rejoice for my body is safe. 27You will not abandon me to experience the suffering of a miserable afterlife, nor leave Your set-apart servant to rot alone in the ground. 28Instead, You direct me on a path that leads to a beautiful life. As I walk with You, the pleasures are never-ending, and I finally know true joy and contentment. [PSALM 16]
29My brothers, it’s right for me to speak to you about our ancestor David, for he died and was buried, and his tomb is still here. 30But David wasn’t talking about himself as this great deliverer! NO WAY! He was a prophet, and knew full-well that YAHUAH had made a promise that He’d never break, telling David that one of his own descendants would be the Anointed King on the Throne to deliver Yisharal. 31David knew this would happen, he saw it ahead of time and told us that the Messiah would be raised back to life. He said that YAHUAH would not leave Him in the grave or let his body decay. 32And all of us here today are witnesses and can tell you without a shadow of doubt that YAHUAH has raised YAHUSHA back to life!
33YES!! YAHUSHA has been exalted to the highest Divine Authority, and given the Set-Apart Spirit, just as the Father had promised. And now He’s poured out His Set-Apart Spirit to us, and this is what you’re now seeing and hearing! 34For David didn't ascend into the Heavens, so he couldn’t have been talking about himself when he said, 'Yahuah told my Master to ‘sit in the highest place of esteem and power, 35until I gather Your enemies into one place, crawling on their hands and knees, so you can rest your feet on their backs.”
36SO EVERYONE IN YISHARAL - KNOW THIS ... THAT OUR ALAHIM YAHUAH HAS MADE THIS SAME YAHUSHA (THE PROPHESIED DELIVERER DAVID SPOKE OF) BOTH MASTER AND MESSIAH, EVEN THOUGH YOU ALL PUT HIM TO DEATH ON A TORTURE STAKE”.
PETER HIT THESE JEWS WITH A ROUNDHOUSE, RIGHT TO THE JAW !!
37And when the people heard this, they were pierced to their hearts (DEVASTATED), crying out to Peter and the other followers, “MEN, BROTHERS, WHAT SHOULD WE DO?”
THEY REALISED THAT UNDER THEIR OWN LAWS, A PERSON GUILTY OF MURDERING AN INNOCENT MAN (EVEN FALSELY ACCUSING HIM) WAS GUILTY OF THEIR BLOOD - EVEN BLASPHEMY AGAINST YAHUAH WAS PUNISHABLE BY DEATH AND NO ATONEMENT OR OFFERING COULD BE MADE FOR THESE `HIGH-HANDED, INTENTIONAL' CRIMES' - SO HOW MUCH MORE UNFORGIVABLE IS KILLING THE SON OF YAHUAH HIMSELF!! THEIR HOPES OF FORGIVENESS & DELIVERANCE WERE ALL BUT LOST ... THEN PETER GIVES THEM THE WAY OUT :
38Peter said to them, “REPENT AND BE IMMERSED, EVERY ONE OF YOU, IN THE NAME OF YAHUSHA MESSIAH FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF YOUR SINS, AND YOU WILL RECEIVE THE GIFT OF HIS SET-APART SPIRIT. 39For this promise is for you and your children, and everyone in the nations far off that YAHUSHA calls.”
GENUINE REPENTANCE (BEING SORRY) IS THE ONLY KIND OF RESPONSE ACCEPTABLE TO YAHUSHA. THEY ASKED WHAT TO DO, NOT WHAT TO PRAY OR WHAT TO THINK. AND SO PETER SAID THEY WERE TO BEHAVIOURALLY TURN FROM THEIR SINS, ACTIVELY RETURN TO OBEYING YAHUAH IN THEIR LIVES, AND HURRY TO BE IMMERSED IN THE NAME OF YAHUSHA. THESE FOLLOWERS TRULY BELIEVED THAT THE END OF THE WORLD HAD COME, SO THEIR MESSAGE WAS UBER-URGENT!
WE NEED TO BE SORRY FOR THE WAY WE'VE TREATED YAHUSHA!
40And with whole-hearted sincerity and energy, Peter told them so many other things, saying, “I beg you all to be delivered from what will come on this wicked generation.” 41And on that day about 3,000 people gladly believed his message and were immersed into the New Covenant Community. 42Then they spent their time learning from YAHUSHA’S followers, and they were like family to each other ...
... eating, fellowshipping and praying together from house to house. 43And everyone was amazed by the many miracles and wonders that YAHUSHA’S followers worked, and great respect came upon them all. 44And everyone who believed, met together and shared everything they had. 45They would even sell their property and belongings and give the money to whoever was in need.
46Day after day they met together in the Temple to speak to people about YAHUSHA, gathering together at different homes IN ONE MIND, sharing food happily and freely with simplicity of heart, 47while praising YAHUSHA. And they were liked by the whole community (they had favour) and everyone was affected by them, and each day YAHUSHA added new people (who hungered for deliverance) to their set-apart Community.
THE FIRST-STEPS (FOUNDATION) OF THE TRUE BRIDAL FELLOWSHIP IS GIVEN HERE BY PETER:
1. TRUE REPENTANCE (SORROW) - RETURN TO THE COVENANT
2. IMMERSION IN THE NAME OF YAHUSHA - ONLY NAME FOR DELIVERANCE
3. DIVINE OPERATION BY RECEIVING THE SPIRIT - PORTAL OPENS / SEED SOWN
ALL OTHER FOUNDATIONS ARE WRONG & CRUMBLING!
CONCLUSION:
AT THIS FEAST OF PENTECOST, YAHUSHA REVERSED THE SIGN OF JUDGMENT ON THE NATIONS (THOSE WHO SPOKE FOREIGN LANGUAGES EVER SINCE BABEL) AND FLUNG OPEN THE DOORWAY OF DELIVERANCE TO ALL PEOPLE (NOT JUST THOSE WHO SPOKE HEBREW). YAHUSHA IS THE CREATOR OF ALL LANGUAGE AND CAN SPEAK EVERY TONGUE! LIKEWISE HIS DELIVERANCE IS TO ALL NATIONS AND TONGUES.
THE HEBREW LANGUAGE IS NOT THE CLEAN LIP !
YAHUSHA SAID THAT IN THE LAST DAYS HE WOULD GIVE HIS BRIDE A CLEAN LIP (TONGUE/LANGUAGE).
THIS BEHAVIOUR IS FORMED FROM NOTHING, THROUGH THE POWER OF THE INPLANTED SEED, AND BY ALIGNING OUR THOUGHTS, WORDS AND BEHAVIOURS WITH YAHUSHA'S WORD, STAYING AS CLOSE TO HIM AND WHAT HE SAYS AS POSSIBLE ... WE TOO BEGIN TO OPERATE IN A NEW CLEAN LANGUAGE/TONGUE OF TRUTH, WHICH TRANSCENDS ALL OTHER CULTURES & LANGUAGES!
THIS IS THE BEHAVIOUR REVOLUTION ! ...... WIN YOUR CROWN !
