BITTER COMPLAINT (NUM.11)
Soon the people began to bitch, whinge and complain about their hardship, and YAHUSHA was `ropeable’ hearing everything they said. He `saw red’ with fury at their disgusting behaviour and blasted them with a rip-roaring fire that toasted stacks of the people out `along the fringe’ of the camp. Then the people `chucked a wobbly’, screaming and wailing to Moses for help, so he talked to YAHUSHA and the fire stopped! And after this BBQ of judgment, that area was known as Taberah (“the place of burning”), because the fire from YAHUSHA had burned among them there.
MOSES STEPS IN AS A MEDIATOR FOR YISHARAL ONCE AGAIN POINTING DIRECTLY TO YAHUSHA WHO OPENED THE PORTAL OF DELIVERANCE THROUGH HIS OWN FLESH. “FOR WE HAVE A HIGH PRIEST WHO CAN IDENTIFY WITH ALL OUR WEAKNESSES, BECAUSE HE WAS TESTED IN EVERY WAY (JUST AS WE ARE), BUT NO MATTER WHAT, HE ALWAYS BEHAVED OBEDIENTLY” HEB 4 BRS
Then the foreign `riff-raff’ who were traveling with Yisharal... (ALONG FOR THE RIDE AND THE BLESSINGS WITH NONE OF THE BURDENS OR DIFFICULTIES. THESE WERE NOT CONVERTS, “RESIDENT ALIENS“ (PAGANS) WHO ATTACHED THEMSELVES TO YISHARAL BUT DIDN’T SHARE ANY ALLEGIANCE TO YAHUSHA AND WERE FORCED TO LIVE `ON THE FRINGE’ OF THE CAMP) >>> WHERE WAS THE FIRE BURNING AGAIN? ...they began to lust and crave after the `creature-comforts’ of their yester-years in Egypt and their ungrateful behaviour infected the whole camp, for when the people of Yisharal heard their complaints, they joined the pity-party too.
“Oh, for some real meat! Come on, give us a nosh-up! We remember the fish we used to eat in Egypt and it was free. We had all the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions, and garlic we wanted. But now our appetites are gone, and all we ever see is this bloody manna, manna, nothing but manna!”
(Speaking of manna), it looked like small coriander seeds, pale-yellow like gum-resin. And the people would go out and gather it from the ground, make flour by grinding it with millstones or pounding it in mortars. Then they’d boil it in a pot and make it into flat cakes. These cakes tasted like fine-pastry delicacies, baked with olive oil. The manna came down on the camp with the dew and appeared at sparrow’s fart (early morning).
So Moses heard all the families standing in the doorway of their tents absolutely `spitt’in the dummy’ with their whining and YAHUSHA was furious. Moses was also agro and said to YAHUSHA,
“Why the hell does everything have to be so grim and harsh all the time? I’m your servant, this was all Your idea remember? What did I do to fall from Your favor and be lumped with the burden of all these people? Did I give birth to them? Did I bring them into the world? Why should I carry them all in my arms like a father, to the land you swore to give their ancestors? Where on earth am I supposed to get meat for all these people? Their relentless whining does my head in! ‘Give us meat, Give us fish, give us spices so delish!’ I can’t take this abuse anymore! Carrying all these people by myself is too much! If this is how You intend to treat me, just go ahead and kill me now. Do me a favor and put me out of my misery!”
So YAHUSHA said to Moses, “Go get Me seventy men who are recognised as elders and leaders of Yisharal. Bring them to the Tabernacle and I’ll come down and talk to you there. And I’ll withdraw some of My Spirit that rests on you, and use it to empower them so they can carry the burden of these people along with you, and you won’t have to carry it all alone”.
DESPITE WHAT MANY SAY, THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BEING EMPOWERED BY YAHUSHA’S SPIRIT (AS IS HAPPENED HERE) AND HAVING A PORTAL OPENED WITHIN YOU, AFTER YAHUSHA’S RESURRECTION.
“So say to the people, ‘Go and wash yourselves and look presentable, cause tomorrow uber-meats is happening. Yes you’re a pack of bitchy little whiners and Yahuah heard your incessant `meat-ranting’ telling Him you were better off in Egypt......pleeease!” Well guess what? It’s meat you wanted and it’s meat you’re getting, not just for a day or a week, nah you’ll be shov’in meat in your gobs for a whole freak’in month!! And you’ll eat every bit of it dammit, until you gag and throw up from it. You wanna reject Yahuah, who is right here among you, and spit in His face, saying, “Why did we ever leave Egypt?”’” seriously??””
But Moses responded “There are 600,000 men here Master and you say, ‘I’ll give them meat for a whole month!’ Even if we butchered all our flocks and herds, that wouldn’t satisfy them? Even if we caught all the fish in the sea, that wouldn’t be enough for these nut-jobs!!”
“Do I speak with a lisp? Has My strong and outstretched arm lost its power? You just watch and see what happens when I speak!”
So Moses went out and reported YAHUSHA’S words to the people and He gathered the seventy elders around the Tabernacle. Then YAHUSHA came down in the cloud and spoke to Moses, giving the seventy elders the very same Spirit that was upon Moses. And when the Spirit rested on them, they prophesied briefly. Even two men (Eldad and Medad, who had been listed as elders, but hadn’t joined the others at the Tabernacle yet) had Yahusha’s Spirit rest upon them and they began prophesying (TO DECLARE THE WORD OF YAHUSHA, SPEAK OF FUTURE EVENTS AND MAYBE EVEN SPEAK IN ANOTHER LANGUAGE) right there in the camp.
And a young man ran and reported to Moses, “Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp!” (BOTH MEN INSIDE & OUTSIDE THE CAMP WERE BEING ANOINTED!) And hearing this, Joshua (Husha) son of Nun (who’d been Moses’ assistant since his youth) protested to Moses,
“Hey Boss, that’s not on, make’em stop!”
“Are you upset and defensive for my sake son? If only all Yahuah’s people in Yisharal were prophets and His Spirit was upon them all!”
Then Moses returned to the camp with the elders of Yisharal.
IT’S INTERESTING THAT YAHUSHA WITHDREW SOME OF HIS SPIRIT FROM MOSES TO SHARE WITH THE SEVENTY ELDERS, AND AT YAHUSHA’S DEATH, HE `GAVE UP HIS SPIRIT’ IN ORDER TO SHARE IT WITH HIS FOLLOWERS JUST OVER 50 DAYS LATER. YES HE’S ANOINTED, RESTED UPON, EMPOWERED, EVEN FILLED MEN AND WOMEN TEMPORARILY TO ACHIEVE CERTAIN TASKS FROM THE BEGINNING, HOWEVER THE PORTAL DOORWAY BETWEEN THE DIMENSIONS WAS ONLY ON THE ARK WITHIN THE TABERNACLE/TEMPLE. IT WAS VERY DIFFERENT TO WHAT YAHUSHA DID AFTER HIS ASCENSION BACK TO HIS HIGHER DIMENSION, WHERE A DOWN-PAYMENT OF HIS SPIRIT IS NOW GIVEN TO ALL HIS IMMERSED AND SEALED (IN HIS NAME) BRIDE TO ENCOURAGE, LIFT, LOVE AND TRAIN HER IN PREPARATION FOR THE WEDDING FEAST AND MARRIAGE HOME. THE PORTAL DOORWAY IS NOW THROUGH HIS BRIDE.
Then YAHUSHA sent a strong wind that blew millions of quails from the sea and let them fall all around the camp, piling up a metre high throughout the camp and as far out as a day’s walk in every direction! So the people went out and caught quail all that day and throughout the night (and all the next day too). No one gathered less than two and a half litres and they spread the quail all around the camp to dry. But while they were gorging themselves on the meat (while it was still between their teeth) the anger of YAHUSHA blazed against the people, and He struck them with a severe plague (virus). So that place was called Kibroth-hattaavah (“graves of lust”) because there they buried the people who had craved and lusted after the meat from Egypt. And from there the Yisharalites travelled to Hazeroth, where they stayed for some time.
THE PEOPLE CRAVED AND LUSTED AFTER FLESH (THE THINGS OF THE WORLD) INSTEAD OF THE FOOD (SUPERNATURAL PROVISION) THAT CAME FROM YAHUSHA, SO HE TURNED THEM OVER TO FLESH. THE SPIRITUAL PRINCIPLE (OR PATTERN OF BEHAVIOUR) BEING PRESENTED HERE FOR US IS THAT WE ARE NOT TO BE OF THIS WORLD OR DESIRE THE FLESHLY THINGS OF IT. NOW YAHUSHA ISN’T GONNA FORCE US TO CHOOSE ONE WAY OR THE OTHER. JUST AS YISHARAL HAD THE OPTION TO CHOOSE THE FLESH OF DEAD BIRDS OVER THE MANNA, YAHUSHA HAS GIVEN US ALL THE FREEDOM TO CHOOSE THE FLESHLY THINGS OF THIS WORLD OVER THE SPIRITUAL PATH & TRUTHS FROM HIS PORTAL. WE HAVE THE FREEDOM OF CHOICE BUT IN THAT FREEDOM WE SHOULD ALSO UNDERSTAND THAT WE’LL REAP THE CONSEQUENCES OF OUR CHOICES WHETHER GOOD OR BAD.
