QUESTION? DID THE TWO SPIES HAVE SEX WITH RAHAB?

BUT THE SPIES DID INDEED STAY THE NIGHT THERE.
But someone found out about the spies and told the king of Jericho, “Some Yisharalite men came here tonight, and they’re spies.” So the king sent soldiers to Rahab’s house to arrest the spies. But Rahab had taken the men up to the flat roof of her house and had hidden them under some piles of flax plants that she had put there to dry. The soldiers came banging on her door and demanded, “Let us have the men who are staying at your house. Don’t you know they’re spies woman?”
“O’ those men, yeah they came to my house earlier today, but how the hell should I know where they’d come from or where they’re going? Anyway they left around sunset, just before the town gate was being closed. If you hurry, maybe you’ll catch up with them.”
So the guards at the town gate let the soldiers leave Jericho, but they closed the gate again as soon as the soldiers went through. Then the soldiers headed toward the Jordan River to look for the spies at the place where people cross the river. And Rahab went back up to her roof where the spies were still awake.
KEEP IN MIND THE KING OF JERICHO WAS EXPECTING THE ARRIVAL OF THE YISHARALITES. IT WAS SIMPLY COMMON KNOWLEDGE THAT YISHARAL HAD PLANS TO TAKE CANAAN BECAUSE THE HEBREWS HAD PLAINLY STATED THAT WAS THEIR INTENTION FROM THE VERY BEGINNING. AND THERE’S NO WAY IN HELL A POPULATION OF 3 MILLION PEOPLE CAN MOVE AROUND WITHOUT BEING DETECTED. SO UNDERSTAND THE CANAANITES KNEW WITHOUT A DOUBT THAT YISHARAL WAS COMING. BUT FROM A PRACTICAL SENSE SHE KNEW THAT SHE DIDN’T WANT TO BE ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THIS BATTLE; SHE DIDN’T WANT TO BE AN ENEMY OF HIS PEOPLE BECAUSE IN HER MIND THE END RESULTS WERE CERTAIN AND TERRIBLE BECAUSE OF THEIR ALAHIM.
AND ALSO THIS WASN’T A “CONVERT NOW AND REPENT LATER” ATTITUDE THAT RAHAB PRESENTED. IT WASN’T AN ATTEMPT TO DECEIVE THE SPIES (ALTHOUGH THEY RIGHTFULLY EXPRESSED SKEPTICISM ABOUT HER PRONOUNCEMENT). BROTHERS AND SISTERS WHAT BETTER EXPRESSION OF REPENTANCE CAN WE FIND THAN THIS? If you all stay within the walls of this house, the judgment coming on this wicked city will pass over you, and we’ll take all the blame if anyone gets hurt inside here, but if anyone goes outside your house, they’ll definitely be destroyed and it won’t be our fault. . . “Yes, Yes, I’ll do exactly what you say,” Rahab promised and sent them on their way, tying the scarlet red rope to her window. And the two spies hid in the hills for three days while the King of Jericho's soldiers looked for them along the roads.
RAHAB TELLS THE SPIES TO HIDE IN THE MOUNTAINS FOR A PERIOD OF TIME BECAUSE THE MOUNTAINS NEAR JERICHO LIE WESTWARD, BUT THE SOLDIERS WOULD HAVE BEEN HEADING EASTWARD TO INVESTIGATE THE CROSSING POINTS OF THE JORDAN RIVER. IN ADDITION, THE MOUNTAINS HAD AN ABUNDANCE OF CAVES THAT WERE PERFECT FOR HIDING AND PROVIDING SHELTER FROM THE ELEMENTS. SEE HOW YAHUSHA PROVIDES IN ALL SITUATIONS?
WHAT DID THE SCARLET THREAD SYMBOLISE? IN THE SCRIPTURE, THE COLOUR RED NORMALLY INDICATES “BLOOD” OR “REDEMPTION” OR BOTH. THINK OF THE RED BLOOD PAINTED ON THE DOORPOSTS OF THE HEBREW HOMES IN EGYPT AT THE FIRST PASSOVER. THE BLOOD ON THE POSTS INDICATED TO THE MESSENGER OF DEATH THAT IT WAS TO PASS OVER THE HOME AND MOVE ON TO THE NEXT. AND THERE’S ALSO A PARALLEL BETWEEN THE BLOOD THAT YISHARAL PUT ON THEIR DOORPOSTS FOR DELIVERANCE DURING THE FIRST PASSOVER IN EGYPT AND THE SCARLET THREAD RAHAB USED AS A SYMBOL OF DELIVERANCE, NOT ONLY FOR HER BUT HER WHOLE FAMILY.
And as soon as the soldiers gave up looking and returned to Jericho, the two spies went down into the Jordan valley and crossed the river, reporting to Joshua everything that had happened. “Joshua, we saw with our own eyes just how terrified and shaking with fear Jericho is. They’re already disheartened and defeated brother. It’s so obvious that Yahuah has already given us this land, we just need to go take it!” THE 2 SPIES WERE EXHILARATED AND COULDN’T WAIT TO TELL THE PEOPLE THAT VICTORY WAS NOW THEIR’S FOR THE TAKING. QUITE A DIFFERENT ATTITUDE THAN THE MAJORITY OF SPIES FROM THE 1ST GENERATION WHO WENT OUT TO SPY THE LAND ISN'T IT . . .
THE LAW OF HEREM STATES THAT NO SPOILS OR BOOTY FROM THE INVASION COULD BE KEPT BY THE SOLDIERS BECAUSE IN A TRUE SET-APART WAR, ALL THE SPOILS ARE DEDICATED TO YAHUSHA, AND SINCE HE HAD NO EARTHLY BODY TO RECEIVE THEM, THEY WERE BURNT UP. SO RIGHT FROM THE GET-GO, THE PEOPLE OF JERICHO WERE NEVER GOING TO BECOME YISHARAL’S SLAVES; THEY WERE GOING TO BE ANNIHILATED. THIS WAS SET-APART WAR ESTABLISHED, LEAD AND FOUGHT BY YAHUSHA THROUGH HIS PEOPLE. SO FOR RAHAB AND HER FAMILY TO BE SPARED WAS VERY UNUSUAL; ON THE SURFACE THIS WAS A VIOLATION OF THE LAW OF HEREM. IT IS INTERESTING THAT THESE 2 SPIES FELT THAT THEY HAD THE AUTHORITY TO SPARE THIS FAMILY. BUT IN THE END IT WAS BECAUSE OF THE REALITY THAT TO DECLARE ONE’S BELIEF IN THE ALAHIM OF YISHARAL IS TO BE DELIVERED FROM DESTRUCTION. THE SPIES INHERENTLY UNDERSTOOD THAT RAHAB AND HER FAMILY MERITED THIS BECAUSE NOW THEY WERE (IN SOME SENSE) MORE YISHARALITE THAN CANAANITE (WE’LL SEE THIS SAME THEME APPEAR WITH RUTH AND NAOMI TOO). THE SPIES WEREN’T ENTIRELY COMFORTABLE IN ALL THIS AND THAT'S WHY THERE WAS A LONG AND DETAILED CONVERSATION ABOUT WHAT THEY PROMISED, UNDER WHAT CIRCUMSTANCES, AND IF RAHAB DIDN’T FOLLOW THE PROCEDURE THEN ALL BETS WERE OFF. YET THE 2 SPIES KNEW THAT FOR THEIR OWN SAKE, AND BECAUSE OF RAHAB’S DECLARATION OF BELIEF, SOMETHING WAS FUNDAMENTALLY DIFFERENT NOW.
RAHAB AND HER FAMILY WERE OUTSIDE NATIONS (GUYIM), BUT THEY NOW FOLLOWED THE ALAHIM OF YISHARAL. HELLO? CAN YOU SEE THIS ILLUSTRATION OF EXACTLY WHAT WOULD BE BEHAVED IN YAHUSHA’S FOLLOWERS AFTER HIS DEATH. REPENTANCE AND OBEDIENCE TO YAHUSHA’S ETERNAL BLOOD COVENANT FOR DELIVERANCE HAS NEVER CHANGED SINCE THE BEGINNING OF TIME. IT IS NOT A MODERN INVENTION AND MANKIND HAS THE SAME DECISION TODAY IF THEY WANT TO ESCAPE THE COMING WRATH.
Just like Jericho the whole world is defeated and GUILTY, unclean and in a state of unconsciousness because they are disconnected from the tree of life (Yahusha and His Living Word) which brings us great peace and light. Yahusha says that every person will have the opportunity to wake up and know Him before His return, however when confronted with the truth (like Rahab was), a person has the choice to either WAKE UP, REPENT and FOLLOW THE SHEPHERD, or go back to SLEEP and continue in their wickedness.
In Hebrew, the word GUILTY implies that if a person is wrong and wicked, THEY KNOW IT and are actually being punished and are perishing. Through the human conscience (even without the Ruach) Yahusha condemns a person of their evil behaviour and disobedience to His Divine Laws.
David said, “Deliver me from my blood-guilt, Yahuah the Alahim of my deliverance, and let my tongue sing allowed of Your perfection". PSALM 51 BRS
Not only the high-handed crimes of murder and blood-shed incur guilt though . . . robbery, adultery, oppression of the poor, dishonesty, idolatry etc etc makes a person guilty and worthy of death: “He shall surely die and his blood shall be upon himself.” Where there is guilt worthy of bloodshed, In Yisharal, bloodshed was said to pollute the land (Num 35), and this bloodshed which defiles is said to have been “innocent blood”. Yahusha informs His people that He will not listen when they try to communicate with Him because their hands are full of blood (Isa 1:15). Bloodguilt is taken so seriously in Scripture that, when it is not atoned for according to the proper protocols instructed, Yahusha steps in to avenge the wronged party. GUILT MUST BE PUNISHED (2 Sam 4:11) and it may be delivered even to someone’s descendants.
“Now after overlooking these times of ignorance, where people have been asleep and not known their crimes against Him, Yahusha now demands that all people everywhere repent and return to Him”. ACTS 17 BRS
As we can see there is so much evil behaviour in this world today, and this not only curses the land itself, but the people of earth too, and yet many today still refuse to repent. Their consequences are suffering and the losing of their minds. They ignore the command above to repent, and put Yahusha in a box, calling that category of life `religion’ (and calling Him `God’), then they declare that `religion is not for everyone’ and try to wipe away the commands of Alahim.
Just like Egypt and Jericho, the whole world today is asleep and scheduled for destruction, so what does SLEEP really mean?
“So watch how Yahusha behaves and do what He does (copy, mimic Him) just like a child learns how to behave properly by watching their parents. However the main thing Yahusha does is love us, always, not cautiously but boldly, not for His gain but ours. He even gave His life for us as a free-gift and offering to Yahuah as a sweet-smelling fragrance. So imitate Him and live a life that pleases Him, full of love, not lust. No! Don’t let it be said that any of you have immoral, indecent or greedy behaviour. Don’t use foul, dirty, foolish words either, filthy jokes and malicious gossip for that’s not appropriate for Yahusha’s people. But instead use your mouths for thanksgiving and encouragement. Rest assured that those who behave like this will join those who worship idols and never have any part or inheritance in the Reign of Yahusha. So don’t let anyone trick you and suck you in with smooth words, or the empty, foolish words of religion, because the wrath of Yahusha comes down on the disobedient, so have nothing to do with them, otherwise you may suffer the same consequences. Remember that you were once in the darkness just like them, but now you are in the light because of Yahusha, so act like it! Behave accordingly! Shine! For the fruits of Yahusha’s behaviour are in all goodness and obedience and truth, proving what pleases Him. So don’t hang around with the fruitless behaviour that’s done in the dark, investing your times in useless pursuits, or even talk about the sneaky, perverse things that people do in secret, instead rip the covers off, reveal it and allow Yahusha’s light to expose the sham and the fraud for what it really is. . . evil! Yes Yahusha’s light shows up everything and that’s why He says to `Wake up, everyone who’s asleep and rise from the dead and I will shine on you!’ Act like people with good sense and not like fools, careless, not thinking, for we live in very evil times, so make every minute count. Don’t waste your time being stupid but find out what Yahusha wants you to do and DO IT! Don’t slaughter yourself by getting drunk, but let His Spirit fill your life, anointing and empowering you”. `WAKE UP, EVERYONE WHO’S ASLEEP AND RISE FROM THE DEAD AND I WILL SHINE ON YOU!’ All men and women on the face of this earth who are not filled with Yahusha’s Spirit are "The Walking Dead" and all men and women who are sitting on the fence and not going deeper into Yahusha are deceived by religion. How dreadful to be in such a state as this! So if you’re feeling something is wrong then this is your problem, YOU ARE FALLING ASLEEP! Yahusha’s Living Word is our spiritual sustenance so if you are not feeding on it, you will stagnate. We are given a list of behaviours above not to do.
We can see by Yahusha's Words (in Matt 24) that the signs of His coming are now appearing in the earth, as a woman in labour. Disastrous occurrences are readily appearing before us in the daily news, and those reporting the incidences are flabbergasted within themselves. Panic and violence is becoming rife. Yahusha has started the times of BIRTHPAINS and there are prophesies being fulfilled right before our very eyes; wars, earthquakes, famines, pestilence, COVID is raging through the globe, and folks are losing their minds in this judgment from Yahusha.
People have their heads stuck in the sand believing their lives will go on forever and it is prophesied for this state of affairs to get worse, so bad that the world has not seen such terror in it's entire history.
BELIEVERS NEED TO PERFECT THEIR BRIDAL BEHAVIOUR IN ORDER TO FULFIL YAHUSHA'S PLAN OF SPREADING HIS LOVE AND REPENTANCE.
Scripture interpreters gloss over the experience and consequences of disobedience today by using the word `CONVICTION’ instead of the word `GUILT’. The truth is that everyone who disobeys Yahusha’s Instructions is operating in GUILT and are it's slave, unable to be free in the Set-Apartness given only by Yahusha. They are lost and asleep in their own madness, which is very real and YAHUSHA TELLS US TO WAKE UP FROM OUR SLEEP AND ARISE FROM THE DEAD.
He is not going to do it for us, became He’s telling us to do it. If Yahusha reveals Himself to us and we chose to repent and follow His Instructions for our life, then (like Rahab) we will not only be spared the coming destruction of this planet, we will see the dimensional seam unzip and Yahusha appear from the Shamayim to remove all evil and restore this planet once again to bliss. . . . Halleluyah!!
