AFTER SAUL'S ATTENTION WAS DIVERTED TO THE PHILISTINES, ALLOWING DAVID TO ESCAPE FROM HIM, DAVID NOW MOVES HIS MEN TO THE AREA OF EN-GEDI, A SPRING-FED OASIS IN JUDAH’S VAST DESERT WILDERNESS, LOCATED ON THE WEST BANK OF THE DEAD SEA. ALMOST ANY TIME OF THE DAY OR NIGHT YOU’LL SEE ORYX, MOUNTAIN GOATS, CONEYS, SMALL DEER; PRACTICALLY A ZOO OF DESERT DWELLING CREATURES WHO ARE ATTRACTED TO THE GREEN FOLIAGE AND ABUNDANT WATER.
SKIRT (SAM.24)
After Saul returned home from fighting the Philistines, he was told that David had gone into the wilderness of En-gedi (a hill-country peppered with stacks of caves) and finding him would be like looking for a needle in a haystack. So he chose 3,000 elite troops from all Yisharal for a `search and destroy mission' (emphasis on search) and they went after David and his 600 men near the rocks of the wild goats near the caves. And at the place where the road passes some sheepfolds, Saul went into a cave to relieve himself (smoko toilet break). But as it happened, David and his men were hiding further back in that same very cave!
“Now’s your opportunity!” David’s men whispered to him.
“Today’s the day that Yahuah’s handing your enemy over to you, for you to do whatever you want with him, just like He said He would ….. come on, let’s get’im!” (THIS WAS A CUSTOMARY MIDDLE-EASTERN CONVERSATION FULL OF SPIRITUAL OVERTONES) And even though no specific words were ever recorded of Yahuah promising such a thing to David, his men were so shocked and surprised that such an unexpected opportunity would present itself, `it must be Yahuah' they thought, proving that He's on their side that day.
So David crept forward to where Saul was crouched (do'in his business) and gently cut off a piece of the hem (HEBREW KANAPH: SKIRT) from Saul’s robe. But then David’s conscience began burning within him because he’d cut Saul’s robe, and he said to his men, “Nah boys I shouldn’t a done that, it’s a real `dirty-move’ sneak’in up on a guy while he’s ‘use’in the John’! This ain’t the way, cowardly stripping a King of his authority. Don’t forget he’s still Yahuah’s anointed one, for Yahuah Himself chose Him.”
So David calmed his men down, and didn’t let them kill Saul that day.

D A V E ’ S S K I R T D I L E M M A !
THIS IS WAR! SAUL'S MADE IT VERY PERSONAL, SO WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL ABOUT DAVE CUTTING A BIT OF HIS CLOAK OFF? THERE'S MUCH MORE HERE THAN MEETS THE EYE. IN HEBREW THE WORD IS KANAPH (SKIRT/GARMENT) :
REMEMBER WE LOOKED AT THE WORD `KANAPH' BACK WHEN RUTH SNUGGLED UP TO BOAZ IN THE NIGHT AND ASKED HIM TO SPREAD HIS KANAPH OVER HER (SIMILAR TO `WINGS' IN THE PSALM). HOWEVER SAUL’S KANAPH SPEAKS OF THE ACTUAL HEM/SKIRT OF THE GARMENT AND NOT THE NATURE OF THE GARMENT (AS IT DOES IN THE ACT OF BOAZ SPREADING HIS KANAPH OVER RUTH). IN EITHER CASE THERE IS SIGNIFICANCE.
IT WAS CUSTOMARY THAT THE HEM/SKIRT OF ONE’S GARMENT WAS SYMBOLIC OF THAT PERSON’S STATION IN LIFE. THE POOREST PEOPLE HAD NO HEM AND THE CLOTH WAS MERELY CUT AND LEFT TO FRAY. THE NEXT CLASS UP IN STATUS WORE A GARMENT MADE OF SIMILAR CLOTH AS THE POOREST, BUT IT WAS FOLDED OVER AND SEWN (FORMING A HEM) SO THAT IT NOT ONLY LASTED LONGER BUT IT LOOKED NICER. THEN THE WEALTHIER HAD FANCY HEMS WITH COLOURED THREAD AND EVEN SOME DECORATIONS. KINGS AND ROYALS HAD THE MOST DECORATIVE, WIDE AND EXPENSIVE HEMS. SINCE THE MORE WEALTH ONE HAD, THE MORE AUTHORITY THEY CARRIED, THE HEM WAS MUCH MORE THAN MERE DECORATION, IT WAS SIMILAR TO THE WELL-RECOGNISED STRIPES OF RANK SEWN ONTO A SOLDIER’S UNIFORM, OR THE VARIOUS BELT COLOURS WORN AS SIGNS OF ACHIEVEMENT BY THE COMPETITORS OF THE VARIOUS MARTIAL ARTS. AT TIMES HEMS TOOK ON A SACRED OVERTONE TOO IN REGARDS TO THE PRIESTHOOD AND THEIR GARB.
NO WONDER DAVID FELT SUCH REMORSE AFTER CUTTING OFF A PIECE OF SAUL’S SKIRT! DAVID HAD SHOWN NO RESPECT FOR THE OFFICE OF THE KING OF YISHARAL, AND HAD COMMITTED A GREAT INSULT AGAINST SAUL. KILLING A PERSON AS THEY WERE PRIVATELY GOING TO THE TOILET, AND STEALING FROM THEM AS THEY RELIEVED THEMSELVES (EVEN LOOKING UPON THEM DURING SUCH A TIME) WAS WELL BEYOND INDELICATE AND DISRESPECTFUL. AND SO MUCH MORE SO FOR ROYALTY, AND SUCH A THING JUST WASN’T DONE, NOT EVEN TO AN ENEMY!
DESPITE BEING HUNTED BY A MAD-MAN, DAVID KNEW IN HIS BONES THAT MURDERING SAUL WASN’T THE ANSWER. DON’T FORGET THAT YAHUAH HADN’T TOLD DAVID HE WAS GOING TO BE THE KING, OTHER MEN HAD TOLD HIM. AND YAHUAH CERTAINLY NEVER TOLD DAVID TO KILL THE CURRENT KING, EVEN THOUGH IN SOME WAYS IT SEEMED JUSTIFIABLE. NO, EVEN THOUGH HE AND HIS MEN COULDN’T UNDERSTAND IT AT THE TIME, IT WAS NOT FOR SAUL TO DIE AT THE HAND OF DAVID OR ANY YISHARALITE FOR THAT MATTER.
AN OPPORTUNITY TO KILL SAUL (OBVIOUSLY ARRANGED BY YAHUAH AS A TEST) THEN IMMEDIATELY ASSUME THE THRONE, WAS REFUSED BY DAVID BECAUSE HE DIDN'T VIEW HIMSELF AS SAUL’S ENEMY NOR AS ONE WHO SOUGHT TO RULE OVER YISHARAL. THIS STORY WOULD STAND NOW AS PROOF THAT DAVID’S RISE TO THE THRONE WAS NEITHER BY HIS OWN DESIGN, NOR BY HIS OWN HAND. IT WAS A DIVINE ACT OF THE WILL OF YAHUAH AND DAVID WAS SIMPLY AN OBEDIENT SERVANT.
SAUL HAD NO PROBLEM WITH THE IDEA OF MURDER, BUT DAVID HATED THE THOUGHT. SAUL HAD NO REGARD FOR THE THRONE OF YISHARAL AS ANYTHING BUT HIS OWN PERSONAL RIGHT AND TREASURE. DAVID SAW IT AS DIVINELY SACRED AND ITS OCCUPANT AS YAHUAH’S ANOINTED. AND SO THE STARK DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE NATURES OF THE ANTI-KING AND THE RIGHTEOUS KING PILE UP AND CREATE A PATTERN DESIGNED TO HELP US DISCERN WHEN THE MAN (AND BEHAVIOUR) OF LAWLESSNESS WHO CLAIMS TO BE THE MESSIAH MAKES HIS APPEARANCE IN THE LAST DAYS (IF YOU LEAN THAT WAY).
DAVID CUT OFF A PIECE OF KING SAUL’S SKIRT AT A TIME WHEN HE COULD JUST AS EASILY HAVE KILLED HIM, ENDED HIS STATUS AS A FUGITIVE, AND PROBABLY TAKEN THE THRONE OF YISHARAL FOR HIMSELF. BUT HE CHOSE OTHERWISE. DO YOU GET THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THAT CHOICE? BY DECIDING NOT TO TAKE MATTERS INTO HIS OWN HANDS, AND INSTEAD, ALLOWING YAHUAH TO CARRY OUT WHATEVER HIS INVISIBLE PLAN WAS IN REGARDS TO YISHARAL’S GOVERNMENT AND DAVID’S LIFE, MANY FUTURE QUESTIONS OF ROYAL SUCCESSION (AND OF THE ROLE OF THE DIVINE) IN ESTABLISHING YISHARAL’S KINGLY LINE WERE ANSWERED IN THE BEST POSSIBLE WAY. THIS FLIES RIGHT OVER OUR MODERN WESTERN HEADS BECAUSE WE ARE NOT A TRIBAL-BASED SOCIETY; BUT THEY WERE. YAHUAH (AT HIS OWN CHOICE) IS OPERATING WITHIN A MIDDLE EASTERN TRIBAL CULTURE IN WAYS THAT THEY CAN UNDERSTAND AND RECOGNISE, EVEN IF IT SEEMS TROUBLING FOR US. SO IT WAS CRITICALLY IMPORTANT THAT HOW DAVID ACHIEVED THE THRONE WAS ACCOMPLISHED IN A MANNER THAT YISHARALITES (AND OTHERS) IN DAVID’S DAY (AND LATER ON) COULD SEE AS LEGITIMATE AND `YAHUAH-ORCHESTRATED' RATHER THAN AS A POWER-PLAY FROM THE PLANS OF AN AMBITIOUS MAN.
THE FATHER-SON RELATIONSHIP OF SCRIPTURAL MIDDLE-EASTERNERS IS VERY SIMILAR TO HOW IT STILL IS TODAY; THE FATHER HOLDS SUPREME FAMILY AUTHORITY AND ESTEEM AND HIS SON IS ON A LOWER LEVEL OF STATUS. WHATEVER MEASURE OF AUTHORITY THE SON HAS IS GIVEN TO HIM BY HIS FATHER AND IT CAN BE REVOKED AT ANY TIME. THE FATHER’S SUPREME AUTHORITY NEVER ENDS UNTIL THE FATHER’S DEATH. IN THE WEST FOR AN OLDER MAN TO CALL A YOUNGER MAN HIS SON (OR VICE VERSA) IS MOSTLY A STATEMENT OF ENDEARMENT, IT’S ABOUT AFFECTION. IN THE EAST FOR A YOUNGER MAN TO CALL AN OLDER MAN HIS FATHER INVOLVES EQUAL PARTS AFFECTION AND SUBMISSION. IN THE EAST THE YOUNGER MAN WHO IS “AS A SON” IS UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF THE MAN WHO “IS AS A FATHER” TO HIM. IT IS UNDERSTOOD THAT THE FATHER FIGURE LOOKS OUT FOR WHAT HE SEES AS THE BEST INTERESTS OF HIS SON; BUT THE FATHER FIGURE IS ALSO REVERED, WISER, HOLDS MORE POWER, ACTS AS JUDGE, AND GENERALLY MASTERS OVER THE SON. THIS IS WHAT DAVID WAS MEANING WHEN HE YELLED, “MY FATHER” TO SAUL.
THIS FATHER/SON PATTERN SHEDS SOME LIGHT ON WHY YAHUAH CHOSE TO MANIFSEST HIMSELF IN THE FLESH `AS A SON' WHEN HE COULD HAVE JUST AS EASILY APPEARED AS A FATHER. YAHUSHA SHOWED US THROUGH HIS BEHAVIOUR AND RESPECT FOR THE FATHER/SON RELATIONSHIP, HOW WE ARE TO APPROACH, REVER, FEAR SUBMIT, COMMUNICATE AND LOVE HIM (AS BOTH THE FATHER & SON TODAY - FOR HE'S ONE!)
And after Saul had left the cave and gone on his way, David came out and, seeing that he was alone, he shouted after him, “MY FATHER !! . . . My Master . . . WHY??” And when Saul looked around, David bowed down before him. “Why do you listen to the people who say I’m trying to hurt you and do evil? (IT WASN’T THE PEOPLE, IT WAS SAUL HIMSELF WHO WAS TORMENTED AND HATING DAVE) Hopefully today, you can see with your own eyes that it’s not true. For Yahuah gave me plenty of opportunity to hurt you back there in the cave. Some of my men told me to kill you, but I wouldn’t do that. For I said, ‘I'll never harm the King, he’s Yahuah’s anointed one.’ Look, my father, at what I’ve got in my hand. It’s a piece of the skirt from your robe! I cut it off, but I didn’t kill you did I! This proves that I’m not trying to harm you or do any sort of evil rebellion, and I’ve not sinned against you, even though you’ve been hunting me down for months to kill me".
“So let Yahuah be the judge between us. Perhaps He’ll punish you for what you’re trying to do to me, but I’ll never harm you. As that old proverb says, ‘From evil people come evil behaviour.’ So you can be damn skippy, I’ll never harm you my Master. I mean who is the King of Yisharal trying to catch anyway? Should he spend his time chasing one who is as worthless as a dead dog or a single flea? May Yahuah judge which of us is right and punish the guilty one. He is my advocate, and He will rescue me from your power!”
And when David had finished speaking, Saul called back, “Is that really you Dave, my son?” And he began to weep, saying, “You’re a better man than I son, for you’ve repaid me good for evil. Yes, you’ve been amazingly kind to me today, for when Yahuah put me in a place where you could’ve killed me, you didn’t! Who else would let his enemy get away if he had him in his sights? May Yahuah reward you well for the kindness you’ve shown me today. It’s obvious to me now that you’re going to be King, and that the Kingdom of Yisharal will flourish under your rule. Now swear to me by Yahuah that when that happens you won’t kill my family and destroy my line of descendants!”
AGAIN, WHILE SOME AMOUNT OF AFFECTION IS BEING EXPRESSED BY CALLING DAVID “MY SON”, IT IS DONE FROM A POSITION OF SUPERIORITY AND WE MUST ALSO SEE THAT TEARS CAN FLOW AS A RESULT OF SELF-PITY JUST AS EASILY AS FROM TRUE REPENTANCE.
THE KING ADMITS TO DAVID THAT DAVID IS MORE RIGHTEOUS THAN HE. IN HEBREW RIGHTEOUS IS TZADDIK, AND SURPRISINGLY THIS IS THE FIRST USE OF THIS TERM IN THE BOOK OF SAMUEL. WE MUST SEE THIS AS THE IMPACT IT WAS ON ANCIENT READERS. EVEN THOUGH SAMUEL WAS THE MOST REVERED SET-APART MAN AMONG ALL 12 TRIBES IN THIS ERA (SO REVERED THAT WE’LL FIND REFERENCE TO HIM IN THE LATTER TEXTS AND EVEN PLACED NEARLY ON PAR WITH MOSES) THE TERM TZADDIK, RIGHTEOUS, WAS NEVER EVER APPLIED TO THE GREAT SAMUEL, BUT HERE IT IS APPLIED TO DAVID!
So David promised this to Saul with an oath. Then Saul went home, but David and his men went back to their stronghold.
WE SEE DAVID TRUE TO HIS OATH WHEN (AFTER HE IS KING) HE HUNTS FOR ANY OF SAUL’S DESCENDANTS TO SHOW THEM MERCY, EVEN FINDS THE DISABLED MEPHIBOSHETH (WHO HE BRINGS TO HIS OWN HOME). SAUL AND DAVID PARTED, BUT IN REALITY, NOTHING HAS CHANGED. DAVID KNEW KING SAUL’S UP AND DOWN EMOTIONS ALL TOO WELL, AND THAT HIS WORDS COULD NOT BE TRUSTED. GIVEN A LITTLE TIME TO THINK THINGS OVER, THE KING WOULD SOON REVERT TO HIS PARANOIA AND HOMICIDAL SELF INTEREST.
So many beautiful gems can be found in the word `SKIRT' when looking into the Invisible Abstract of Yahusha's Realm. Remember in Hebrew `SKIRT' (KANAPH) can be a garment, a covering, bed, wings of protection, authority, refuge, ownership or home (there's also mention of the way we speak and behave, to `skirt the situation' or run away making excuses).
DEUT 22 “You shall make yourself tassels on the four corners of your garment/skirt with which you cover yourself".
SONG 4 “Your lips, my bride, drip honey - Honey and milk are under your tongue, and the fragrance of your garment/skirt is like the fragrance of Lebanon".

DEUT 22 “A man does not take his father’s woman, uncovering his father’s skirt (garment/covering/bed)”.
TO `UNCOVER A MAN’S SKIRT’ IS A HEBREW EXPRESSION FOR SLEEPING WITH HIS WIFE !
DEUT 27 “Cursed is he who lies with his father’s woman, for he has uncovered his father’s skirt (garment/covering/bed)”.
SLEEPING WITH ANOTHER MAN’S WIFE (WHOM HE WEARS AND CHERISHES LIKE A SKIRT/GARMENT) EXPOSES HIS NAKEDNESS (and the higher/richer his status, the more wives he had - speaking of rank/authority)
RUTH 3 “I’m Ruth your female servant, please spread your skirt (garment/covering/bed) over me for you are my redeemer”.
IE “I’M BROKE, WIDOWED, HOMELESS, NAKED AND VULNERABLE, PLEASE COVER ME AND RESCUE ME”
SAM 15 “And as Samuel turned to leave, Saul grabbed the skirt of his mantle and it rent”.
REMOVING THE SIGN OF HIS AUTHORITY, LEAVING HIM WITHOUT STATUS AND EXPOSED.
ZECH 8:23 “In those days 10 men from all languages of the nations will take hold of the edge of the skirt of a man, a Yahudi, saying “Please let us go with you, for we've heard that Alahim is with you”” (10 Tribes returning to the Blood-Covenant of Turah as drawn by Yahusha).
BEING CLOTHED WITH YAHUSHA’S ESTEEM AND RIGHTEOUSNESS WILL BECOME MORE AND MORE OBVIOUS TO THOSE AROUND US (IF WE BEHAVE !!) AS THE WORLD SLIPS FURTHER AND FURTHER INTO DEPRAVITY AND INSANITY.
REV 16 “See, I’m coming as a thief, so blessed is he who stays awake and keeps his garment, so that he won’t walk around naked and people see his shame.”
JUST AS ADULTEROUS WHORING BEHAVIOUR STRIPS A MAN OF HIS CHERISHED BRIDE (HIS WIFE), RENDERING HIM NAKED AND EXPOSED, YAHUSHA’S BRIDE STRIPS HERSELF OF HIS ESTEEM (THE ONLY VITAL INGREDIENT THAT SETS HER APART FROM EVERY OTHER HUMAN) LEAVING HER NAKED AND ASHAMED.
OUR SECRET, INVISIBLE PORTAL/WEDDING INVITATION (AND THE WAY WE NOW BEHAVE BECAUSE OF HIM) IS ALL WE HAVE TO SEPARATE US, NOT ONLY FROM THE WORLD, BUT FROM THE REST OF THE UNWISE BRIDE.
As we’ve been discussing, everything that happens in this lower dimension (the visible) is just a shadow (or blueprint) of what’s happening in the higher dimension of Yahusha (the invisible), and that’s why behavioural patterns are so fascinating. We’ve seen this in all the feast shadows, in the idea of abstractly discerning the Scriptures (ie getting the invisible `higher’ understanding from the visible ink on the page), and now with this word `KANAPH' (skirt) we see that WE CAN BE CLOTHED IN OUR LIVES, BUT ONE DIMENSION WILL ALWAYS GIVE WAY TO THE OTHER. WILL OUR GARMENTS BE OF THE FLESH OR DIVINE ESTEEM?
ADAM AND KUAH FELT THE ISOLATION AND SHAME WHEN THEIR ACTIONS STRIPPED THEM OF THEIR DIVINE SKIRTS OF ESTEEM THAT CLOTHED THEM LIKE WARM BLANKETS OF YAHUAH'S LOVE. THEY KNEW THEY WERE NAKED BECAUSE THEIR SIN HAD EXPOSED THEM. They were stripped of rank, title, divine status and ushered `out of the building’ quick smart. The dimensions were severed, no more communication with the outside world and their lives were darkened from then on. But Yahuah did something unprecedented. He killed some lambs and their blood was shed instead of the first couple's. This practice of Blood Atonement (starting with animals as a shadow) allowed mankind a sort of comfort and a small amount of communication and intimacy with their Creator again. But today, through Yahusha’s uber-radioactive blood, His Bride can now come as close as she wants, with no restrictions or barriers. Of course while in her flesh that means it’s gunna get real hot, because Yahusha is perfect and she is not.
So if it’s intimacy and a real father/son communication you’re after, you’d better get ready to be stripped of everything worldy and fleshly that you once thought important (maybe you still do), because YOU CAN ONLY BE CLOTHED FROM ONE DIMENSION. IT’S EITHER HIGHER OR LOWER, CORRUPTIBLE OR INCORRUPTIBLE, FLESHLY OR DIVINE.
NOW OBVIOUSLY WE'RE TALKING ABOUT BEHAVIOUR, AND WE SHOULD STILL WEAR VISIBLE CLOTHES (LET'S NOT GET RIDICULOUS!) BUT YAHUSHA ISN'T CONCERNED ABOUT OUR PHYSICAL, FLESHLY CLOTHES OR GARB (MODESTY YES, BUT NOT FASHION). That which is spirit is spirit and that which is flesh is flesh. One is destined for incineration, and the other can be eternal ?
Of course there are hundreds more texts referring to the skirt or garment that Yahusha puts on us, garments of praise, of thanksgiving, garments of righteousness and joy. And if we start moving and communicating (through the portal on our hearts) with this invisible abstract, supernatural realm (where Yahusha is), we won’t be found naked or without our wedding garments on (as Yahusha said in His parable) exposed, speechless and ashamed because we didn’t ready ourselves for the coming banquet.
MATT 22 “But when the king came in to look over the dinner guests, he saw a man there who wasn't dressed in wedding clothes, so he asked, “Why didn’t you wear the proper clothes for the wedding?” But the guest was speechless and had no excuse. So the king gave orders for that person to be tied hand and foot and to be thrown outside into the dark, where people will cry and grit their teeth in pain. Many are invited (I.E IMMERSED IN HIS NAME AND GIVEN A PORTAL OF INVITATION), but only a few are chosen."
REMEMBER WE NEED TO DIE TO THIS WORLD AND BE STRIPPED OF IT’S FILTHY GARMENTS IN EXCHANGE FOR THE HEALING POWER OF YAHUSHA’S SHINING WHITE ROBES OF LIGHT. THEN WE CAN HEAR WHAT HE WANTS TO SAY TO US. NO SIN OR DARKNESS CAN SURVIVE AROUND HIM AND ALL CURSES AND ILLNESS AND DEMONIC ACTIVITY IS INSTANTLY ZAPPED AWAY.
So it's up to you - there's only one type of skirtly garment allowed to be worn at the Wedding Feast - a Robe of Esteem to clothe a vessel washed in blood and pressed hard in oil, producing the light of freshness and royalty ... No worldly garbs allowed - so stop focusing on the base, earthly, carnal things, worshipping the shadows, the text, the self and the emotions - everything outward - the visible - fashion, hats, beards, tsist, shawls .... HOW'S YA SKIRT ??

"Yahuah’s Message came to me: “Son of man, confront Yerushalim with her outrageous crimes, saying, ‘The Message of Yahuah, the Master, to Yerushalim: You were born and bred among Canaanites. Your father was an Amorite and your mother a Hittite. On the day you were born your umbilical cord was not cut, you weren’t bathed and cleaned up, you weren’t rubbed with salt, you weren’t wrapped in a baby blanket. No one gave a flying-fig for you. No one did anything to care for you tenderly in these ways. You were thrown out into a vacant lot and left there, dirty and unwashed, an abandoned newborn that nobody wanted.
And then I came by. I saw you all miserable and bloody. Yes, I said to you, lying there helpless and filthy, “Rise! Live! Grow up like a plant in the field!” And you did. You grew up. You grew tall and matured as a woman, full-breasted, with long black flowing hair. But you were still naked and vulnerable, fragile and exposed. So I came by later and saw that you were ready for intimacy and a lover.
Then I took care of you, dressed you and protected you. I promised you My love and entered the Covenant of Marriage with you. I, Yahuah, the Master, gave you My Word and you became mine. I immersed you, washing off all that old blood, and anointed you with aromatic oils. I dressed you in a colorful gown and put sparkly leather sandals on your feet. I gave you linen blouses and a fashionable wardrobe of expensive clothing. I adorned you with jewelry: I placed bracelets on your wrists, fitted you out with a necklace, emerald rings, sapphire earrings, and a diamond tiara. You were provided with everything precious and beautiful: with exquisite clothes and elegant food, garnished with honey and oil. You were absolutely stunning. You were My queen and you became world-famous, a legendary beauty brought to perfection by My adornments, declared of Yahuah, the Master.
But your beauty went to your head and you became a common whore, grabbing anyone coming down the street and taking him into your bed. You took your fine dresses and made “tents” of them, using them as brothels in which you practiced your trade. This kind of thing should never happen, never. What a sickly state you're in! ‘And then you took all that fine jewelry I gave you, my gold and my silver, and made pornographic images with them for your brothels. You decorated your beds with fashionable silks and cottons, and perfumed them with my aromatic oils and incense. And then you set out all the wonderful foods I provided—the fresh breads and fruits, with fine herbs and spices, which were My gifts to you—and you served them as delicacies in your whorehouses. That’s what happened, says Yahuah, the Master.
And then you took your sons and your daughters, whom you had given birth to as My children, and you killed them, sacrificing them to idols. Wasn’t it bad enough that you had become a whore? And now you’re a murderer, killing my children and sacrificing them to idols. Not once during these years of outrageous obscenities and whorings did you remember your infancy, when you were naked and exposed, a blood-smeared newborn. And then to top off all your evil acts, you built your gold star brothels in every town square. Woe to you! Screw you! says Yahuah the Master (O'wait everyone else is already!)
You made every major intersection a red light district with your brazen brothels and exposed your sluttish sex, spreading your legs for everyone who passed by. And then you went international with your whoring. You fornicated with the Egyptians, seeking them out in their sex orgies. And the more promiscuous you became, the angrier I got.
Then finally I intervened, reduced your borders and turned you over to the desires of your enemies. Even the Philistine women—if can you believe it?—were shocked at your skanky behaviour. You went on to fornicate with the Assyrians. Your appetite was so insatiable. But still you weren’t satisfied. You took on the Babylonians, a country of businessmen, and still you weren’t satisfied. What a sad and sorry, depraved maniac you are! Doing all this stuff—the champion of champions, the whore of whores! You built your global franchise of brothels at every street corner, opened up your whorehouses in every neighborhood, but you were very different from regular whores, becaisw they at least got paid! Your hanky-pankery was free. Wives who are unfaithful to their husbands accept gifts from their lovers, and men commonly pay their whores. But not you! No you pay your lovers! Yep you pay them! You bribe men from all over to come to bed with you! You’re just the opposite of the regular whores who get paid for sex. Instead, you pay men for their favors! You've even perverted whoredom, becaise aparantly even they have standards, and a line of depravity they won't cross - but not you!
Therefore you whore, listen to the message from Me, Yahuah your Master. Because you’ve been unrestrained in your promiscuity, stripped off for every lover, flaunting your sex, and because of your pornographic idols and all the slaughtered children you offered to them, because of all this, I’m going to get all your lovers together, all those you’ve used for your own pkinky leasure, the ones you loved and even the ones you loathed. I’ll assemble them as a courtroom of spectators around you and in broad daylight I’ll strip you naked before them—and they’ll see what you really look like. Then I’ll sentence you to the punishment for an adulterous woman and a murderous woman. I’ll give you a taste of my wrath!
I’ll gather all your lovers around you and turn you over to them. They’ll tear down your garish brothels and sex shrines. They’ll rip off your clothes, take your jewels, and leave you naked and exposed. Then they’ll call for a mass meeting and the mob will stone you and hack you to pieces with their swords. They’ll burn down your houses. A massive judgment—with all the women watching! Then I’ll have put a full-stop to your whoring life—no more paying lovers to come to your bed! By then My anger will be played out. My jealousy will subside. Because you didn’t remember what happened when you were young but made Me angry with all this behavior, I’ll make you pay for your waywardness.
And everyone who likes to use proverbs will use this one: “Like mother, like daughter.” You’re the daughter of a bitch whore, who couldn’t stand her husband and children. And you’re a true sister of your sisters, who couldn’t stand their husbands and children either. Your mother was a Hittite and your father an Amorite. Your older sister is Samaria. She lived to the north of you with her daughters. Your younger sister is Sodom, who lived to the south of you with her daughters. Haven’t you lived just like they did? Haven’t you engaged in outrageous obscenities just like they did? In fact, it didn’t take you long to catch up and pass them! Your sister Sodom and her daughters never even came close to what you and your daughters have done. The sin of your sister Sodom was this: She lived with her daughters in the lap of luxury—proud, gluttonous, and lazy. They ignored the oppressed and the poor. They put on airs and lived obscene lives. And you know what happened: I did away with them, wiped them out! Fire and brimstone!
And Samaria. Samaria didn’t sin half as much as you. You’ve committed far more obscenities than she ever did. Why, you make your two sisters look good in comparison with what you’ve done! Face it, your sisters look mighty good compared to you. Because you’ve outsinned them so completely, you’ve actually made them look righteous. Aren’t you ashamed? No? You’re going to have to live with it. What a reputation to carry into history: outsinning your two sisters!
But I’m going to reverse their fortunes, the fortunes of Sodom and her daughters and the fortunes of Samaria and her daughters. And—get this—your fortunes right along with them! Still, you’re going to have to live with your shame. And by facing and accepting your shame, you’re going to provide some comfort to your two sisters. Your sisters, Sodom with her daughters and Samaria with her daughters, will become what they were before, and you will become what you were before. Remember the days when you were putting on airs, acting so high and mighty, looking down on sister Sodom? That was before your evil ways were exposed. And now you’re the butt of every joke, the source of contempt, despised by the Edomite women, the Philistine women, and everybody else around. But you have to face it, to accept the shame of your obscene and vile life.
Yahuah the Master, says, I’ll do to you just as you have already done, you who have treated my oath with contempt and broken the Blood-Covenant. All the same, I’ll remember the Covenant I made with you when you were young and I’ll raise it up for you again so that it will last forever. You’ll remember your sorry past and be properly repentant when you receive back your sisters, both the older and the younger. I’ll give them to you as daughters, but not as participants in your Covenant. I’ll firmly establish my Covenant with you and you’ll know that I am Yahuah. You’ll remember your past life and face the shame of it, but when I make atonement for you, make everything right after all you’ve done, it will leave you speechless".
